Mat Briefs with Mischa, Webisode 7

[The shows opens with an overhead shot of the carpeted and wood paneled room. There are two very comfortable looking chairs on either side of a small glass coffee table, the silhouettes of two figures are all that is visible with this camera angle. On the walls of the room are pictures of the various members of the Wrestling Midwest Hall of Fame in addition to the promotional posters for Ides of March 2010 and WWA Tag Team Wars #1. The camera pans around and zooming in on one of the chairs, showing that sitting in one of the two chairs is Mischa Barnes with her designer glasses perched on the tip of her nose as she settles into the chair wearing a pair of slacks and a designer blouse.]
Mischa Barnes - It's been a little while since we've had a show, and for that I'm sorry. I was told that I would be interviewing the Paragon and his manageress, but scheduling just couldn't match up a time for us to have the interview. It was finally decided that the interview with the Paragon would canceled for now, if it can be arranged at a later date we will certainly bring it to everyone. But at this time we have a special interview planned, to get us back off and rolling with the Mat Briefs once again.
[Mischa Barnes leans back in her chair as the camera starts to pan towards the second seat.]
Mischa Barnes - At this time we bring you one of WMW representatives in the WWA's Tag Team Wars and the current WMW Shoot champion, and our first two time guest here on "Mat Briefs with Mischa" please welcome once again.....The Dragon....JADE!!!!
[The camera finishes it's pan to show Jade sitting in her chair, wearing her in ring attire. She smiles and nods]
Jade - Thank you, Mischa, nice to be here again
Mischa Barnes - Always a pleasure Jade, now the WMW's landscape has really changed a lot over the last few months and we are coming off our second Pay Per View of the new year. Looking back, what are your thoughts about the Groundhog Slay Pay Per View and the shape of the WMW currently?
Jade - hmm. Well, I'm definitely keeping my eye on the Great Lakes Division. Kronin had quite the big night. As did I. Father Nathan pulled off a huge surprise in beating Druscilla. Now of course, Hecate has finally a somewhat worthy challenger for her Heartlands title... I have a feeling things in WMW are about to get very interesting... specially with Ryven coming over to the Shoot title division.
Mischa Barnes - In your promo's this last week, you showed us a bit about your time wrestling in Japan and why you left. Now several of your fellow Daughters of Darkness members also spent time training and wrestling in Japan, can you tell us more about your time there?
[Jade smiles a bit and nods.]
Jade - Of course, but that's a broad topic. What would you like to know?
Mischa Barnes - Lets start with your wrestling training there.
[Jade smiles]
Jade - Ah yes. That. I was very lucky, and ticked a lot of people off. As you may or may not know, Pro-Wrestling is more then a job or a career in Japan. It is a lifestyle. There is no real acting done perse. These people actually BECOME their characters while their performing. Wrestlers train for years before they are allowed in front of the crowds...
Well, I was extremely lucky and honored when, in my first training session when the Great Muta happened to see me. He decided to train me, something that many Japanese wrestlers felt was too good for a Chinese wrestler like me
So, I was trained by the Great Muta and a bit later on Tajiri helped me out as well, making use of my martial arts training. That is why I've updated my entrance... my way of honoring my mentor, the Great Muta.
[Mischa nods her head slowly and smiles.]
Mischa Barnes - Speaking of the Great Muta, you introduced a variation of the Muta Lock at GroundHog Slay and your tag team partner also makes use of the Muta Lock in her arsenal, have you spoken with her about where she learned it?
Jade - Well Hecate has spent some time in Japan as well and her and I have trained together and have used the muta lock in our training. I believe in her time in Japan she had some encounters with Muta as well.
[Mischa nods her head again, tapping her pen against the side of her mouth a few times.]
Mischa Barnes - Would be interesting to compare notes on yours and Hecate's times in Japan. Now a few weeks ago, you decided to give tag teaming one more try and picked your stablemate Hecate to be your partner. For your first match, the two of you were faced off against Valora and Umbrage that ended with your team losing. There was speculation that Hecate and yourself called it quit as a team after that match, but now it's been confirmed that the two of you have entered into the Midwest Tag League 3. Was there questions about teaming up after that loss and what are you looking to expect in the MTL 3?
[Jade smiles and nods]
Jade - Questions from others, perhaps. But Hecate and I knew we weren't done teaming up yet. As for MTL 3, we're expecting to make a serious run and hopefully earn a take team title shot.
[Mischa nods her head looking over her notes.]
Mischa Barnes - What is it like teaming up with Hecate, is she really into the occult like she appears to be and what made you decide to team with her in the first place?
Jade - She has a very compatible style to my own. She can understand how I think, what drives me. I guess, in a way, she knows how to speak my language. She realizes that the ancient world still has many things to teach us... as for her interest into the occult... well Hecate has many unique interests. She does take some of her religious beliefs very seriously.
[Mischa raises an eyebrow at that but nods.]
Mischa Barnes - You and Hecate will have a busy week as well, not only are you facing off against the team that beat you last time, The Hardcore Icons at Graveyard Shift 108, but a few days after that you are taking place in WWA's Tag Team Wars #1 in Las Vegas. What made you and Hecate step forward to represent the WMW in this tournament, as opposed to a team like the Hardcore Icons or even Kronin and Ryven the tag team champions, what will you and Hecate bring to the table that the other two wont?
[Jade smirks]
Jade - Well, between us and the Hardcore Icons, we bring sanity, class, a bit more actual skill. Valora and Umbrage are more brawlers. As for us and the tag team champions. I was surprised they didn't step up. But they didn't and thus we entered to fill the void. As for Graveyard Shift 108, we realize who we're facing and I have a feeling the result will be much different this time around.
[Mischa looks down at her notes and smiles.]
Mischa Barnes - Well everything will be looking to see how things turn out at Graveyard Shift 108, and from the fan responses we've received, the fans really like you and Hecate as a team. Speaking of the fans, it's time for the fan supplied questions section of the show. The first question comes from Anthony in Green Bay, and he wants to know if things between you and Scott Vyper are completely over?
[Jade sighs sadly]
Jade - I can not say for sure, but it would seem like, yes. He has been focused on trying to rehab his knee and has been out of touch for some time. Even Vinny does not seem to know where he is. So until Vyper makes his reemergence, I would say that yes, he and I are done.
[Mischa reaches over and clasps Jade's hand giving it a squeeze.]
Mischa Barnes - Doesn't sound like you wanted it to be over, always hard when relationships don't make it. The next question comes to us from Vanessa in Los Angles, she wants to know what possible match in the WMW you are really looking forward to seeing this year?
[Jade nods and smiles a bit]
Jade - It is tough, yes. As for the question... there are a few. Valora vs Kronin in an Iron Man Match promises to be exciting. Ryven vs me also seems to be a great match. But who knows... we might just end up seeing Jade vs Kronin or Jade vs Valora at some point this year. This early in the year the possibilities are endless.
[Mischa nods her head, smiling a bit.]
Mischa Barnes - All of those would be match of the year candidates and matches the WMW fans would love to see, so lets see what happens in the upcoming months. Speaking of matches people want to see, the next question comes from Randy in Springfield and he wants to know what your thoughts are about a match between Adam Pyre and your partner Hecate which seems to be unavoidable at this point?
Jade - heh, I think Adam Pyre is in a lot of trouble. She has been training for this for awhile and I believe she put on a great match and defeat Adam Pyre.
[Mischa looks over her notes, her eyes widening a bit as she looks over the next question.]
Mischa Barnes - Should be quite the match no matter what and our final fan question comes from Stacy in Orlando, and she wants to know just how close you and Hecate have become?
[Jade laughs a bit]
Jade - We're very good and close friends. I'm not going to say anymore then that at the moment as it spoils the fun.
[Mischa giggles a bit herself.]
Mischa Barnes - Thank you once again for joining us on "Mat Brief's with Mischa" and is there anything else you want to say before this webisode ends, Jade?
Jade - Only that fans should stay tuned. Things are about to get very, very interesting in the WMW
Mischa Barnes - This has been another webisode of 'Mat Briefs with Mischa', this webisode and all others will be available exclusively on the Wrestling Midwest website. You can e-mail me any questions you have for the wrestlers or even suggest wrestlers to interview at mischa@wrestlingmidwest.com or leave me at tweet, my twitter is wmwmischa. We will save the questions and when we have that wrestler on the show, we will do out best to get to them. I'm Mischa Barnes and thank you for joining me on 'Mat Briefs.'
