El Dia de los Muertos 2009 - November 12th, 2009 - Bosque de Chapultepec, Mexico City, Mexico

Opening Commentary

[The shot opens up at ringside, where Jack Gene and Bill Hughes sit, dressed in their best commenting attire, ready to call tonight's action.]

Jack Gene – And welcome everyone to Wrestling Midwest El Dia de los Muertos 2009!

[Fireworks shoot off and the outdoor crowd pops and everyone is happy.]

Jack Gene - We are live from the Bosque de Chapultepec here in the heart of Mexico City, Mexico. Tonight, it's the culmination of every title race and every feud. Every single title will be on the line tonight, including the reinstated Shoot Championship, as Jack Reynolds takes on Amariie. And, Bill - how great is it to have the Shoot title back here in WMW?

Bill Hughes - Well, I'd be a damn liar if I said I wasn't excited. That title means a lot of things to a lot of different people, but to me - it stands for tradition and really demonstrates the history of this place.

Jack Gene - We've also got the finals of the Midwest Tag League 2 tournament as Valora and Mr. Videogame take on the reigning Champions, Kronin and AWS Man (also known as Bill). This match alone is so big, but it's the underlying stories that really build it up. One on end, you've got Valora who is also competing later on tonight against Ryve for the Ace Superior Championship. But then, on the other side of the ring, Kronin and AWS Man, well - they both are also competing tonight. The only difference, it's AWS Man (also known as Bill) defending the Great Lakes Championship again... his tag team partner, Kronin. It will be surprising if they can survive as MTL Champs here tonight.

[Just then, "Safe 2 Say" by Fat Joe plays from the PA as Mo' Bad begins to walk down to the ring.]

Jack Gene - And here comes Mo' Bad for our opening contest. Also coming up tonight, we've got Hecate, in a big title defense against Audrie McLaughlin.

Bill Hughes - Well, no offense to her last two title defense opponents, but by far Audrie is her toughest opponent.

Jack Gene - She successfully defended against Amariie in a Hardcore Hell rematch and then defeated Adam Allocco. But yes, I agree - tonight, she's taking on Audrie McLaughlin, and defeating her is no easy task. Lets turn it to the ring as Wayne Inkster stands by.

Mo' Bad vs. Hell Rell

[The shot changes to inside of the ring.]

Wayne Inkster - The following contest is scheduled for one fall and with a 10-minute time limit. Making his way down to the ring, weighing in at 235lbs and standing at 6 foot even. From A Street Called Bad Lands, he is... Mo' Bad!

[The fans boo as Mo' Bad continues to walk down the ring. Just then, "Take Them Panties Off" by Wax-a-million blasts from the PA as Hell Rell makes his way down to the ring.]

Jack Gene - Well, this is the first time we've seen Hell Rell in quite some time. And all though, it's always good to see Hell Rell, I think he chose a bad night to come down.

Bill Hughes - Exactly. Mo' Bad is upset about losing to Amariie last week. It should be him in the ring with Jack Reynolds later on tonight, because that Shoot Championship should be around his waist.

Jack Gene - Again, that's debatable, but we all saw what happened. Amariie won the match and she deserves the title shot.

Wayne Inkster - His opponent, standing at 6' even, and weighing in at 242lbs. From the Bronx in New York, he is... Hell Rell.

[Rell slides in and immediately walks to his corner and slinks down into it, waiting for the match to start.]

Jack Gene - Well, you can see that Rell is eager to get back into the ring, and you can tell from the roar of the crowd that they're glad he has returned. Maybe it's just a sign that they're tired of seeing Mo' Bad.

Bill Hughes - No, Jack. That's not how it is at all.

Jack Gene - No?

Bill Hughes - What, are you [i]trying[/i] to pick a fight with me? I said "no".

[Referee Stephen Tyler looks at both men and asks if they are ready. They nod and he calls for the bell. The bell rings and Rell and Mo' Bad circle one another.]

Jack Gene - And here we go, the opening contest of El Dia de los Muertos 2009 here in Mexico City! Hell Rell vs. Mo' Bad.

[They circle one another before locking up. Just then, Mo' Bad quickly hits him with a boot to the midsection followed by a stiff forearm shot to the side of the head.]

Jack Gene - And Mo' Bad out of nowhere taking Rell down with a forearm.

[Rell goes down to one knee. Mo' Bad lifts him up and tries to lock him up, but Rell pushes him off with an open handed slap. Bad stumbles backwards, before taking a swing of his own. Rell ducks it and lands a right hand, and another. He pushes Mo' Bad against the ropes and then whips him across the ring. As Bad charges back, Hell Rell catches him with a hip toss attempt. Mo' Bad blocks it. He takes a swing at Rell, but Rell ducks it causing Mo' Bad to swing through him. Rell picks him up and drives him down hard with an atomic drop.]

Jack Gene - Oof!

[Rell charges him and tries for a running bulldog, but Bad is able to catch him and throws him to the corner. Rell catches himself onto the second turnbuckle. Bad runs towards him, but is caught in the jaw with an elbow. As Bad stumbles backwards, Rell jumps up onto the top turnbuckle. He jumps and turns in midair and slams into Mo' Bad with a flying crossbody. He holds on for a cover attempt.]

Jack Gene - And Hell Rell with a pin! Here's the count... 1... to-No! Mo' Bad kicks out and, whoa! It's as if Hell Rell shot out of a cannon here. He is on a roll and this crowd is getting behind him in the early goings of this match.

[Rell grabs a hold of Mo' Bad and locks him in a side headlock.]

Bill Hughes - Well, I think it's way too early to call this a win for Hell Rell, Jack. I know you and the fans want to just discount Mo' Bad, but give him some time.

Jack Gene - I don't I said anything of the sort. But, Hell Rell [i]is[/i] looking impressive.

[Mo' Bad struggles to get out of the headlock, and escapes. He sends Hell Rell to the ropes. Rell bounces back and meets Mo' Bad with a shoulder block, sending Bad to the mat. Rell charges and bounces off the ropes again, as he comes back, Bad dives at his feet causing him to jump over. As Rell bounces off the ropes again, Bad pops up. Rell charges at Bad with a clothesline, but Bad ducks it. As Rell turns around, Bad dives at his knee with a drop kick, sending Rell to the mat. Hell Rell holds his knee in pain.]

Jack Gene - Oh, and Mo' Bad just knocked the wind out of Hell Rell's sails with that kick. Hell Rell is in a lot of pain here.

[Mo' Bad begins to circle Hell Rell, stomping his knee and leg. Rell tries to escape, but Mo' Bad pulls him towards the center of the ring by the injured leg and then drops another boot to the inside of the knee. He pulls the leg back up and shoots his arm over as he jumps down on it, sandwiching the leg between himself and the mat. He then locks the leg, trying to tork it out of place. Stephen Tyler checks for a tap out.]

Jack Gene - Mo' Bad, just targeting that knee.

Bill Hughes - Well, hey - once you take a guy down, you target his weakest point. That's been the main focus thus far, and should be. If you can ground Hell Rell, you take away a good portion of his offense.

[Mo' Bad stands up and again drops a boot to Rell's knee. Rell pulls himself into a seating position and tries to pull himself into the corner. Mo' Bad looks out over the crowd and smiles, knowing that he's got Rell right where he wants him. Rell rolls out of the corner, holding his leg, trying to get to his feet but really struggling. Rell grabs a hold of the ropes, but Bad runs and hits another diving drop kick, this one hitting him in the back of the head and sending him up against the ropes. He grabs Rell back the back of the head and drives his neck into the corner.]

Jack Gene - Oh, come on ref! Mo' Bad is choking him!

[Mo' Bad lets go of Rell and he falls to the mat. Bad drops another boot to his head, then one to his midsection. Referee Stephen Tyler gets in between him and Rell, telling him to get back from the ropes. Bad steps back and nods in appreciation for his handy work. The crowd boos. Rell pulls himself up on the ropes, and Bad spins and connects with a right hand. Rell falls to his left, and stumbles along the rope, holding himself up on it. Bad follows and runs Rell's head over the top rope, causing Rell to yell in pain. Rell falls into the corner as Bad looks on, measuring him up.]

Jack Gene - Mo' Bad is just picking him a part here. You can see that maybe there is a bit of ring rust here with Hell Rell. Oh, and what a punch by Mo' Bad, sending Rell back into the corner.

[Bad pulls him away from the ropes and then takes him down with a snap mare. He jumps away towards the ropes, bounces off of the ropes and hits Rell with a running dropkick to the face. He sits up to his knees and claps his hands together as if saying that the match was over. He smiles and makes a cover. Referee Stephen Tyler gets into position.]

Jack Gene - Here's the count... 1... 2.. and Rell got a shoulder up.

Bill Hughes - Oh, just barely.

[Rell sits up trying to get away, and Bad quickly locks on a rear chin lock. Referee Stephen Tyler checks out the choke and asks Rell if he gives up, but Rell fights it.]

Jack Gene - Hell Rell really started this match off quickly. The beginning of this match was exactly how he likes to do things. Quick pace, trying to You know, looking at this match earlier tonight, I thought for sure we'd see the match taking place in the air. Both of these men, not afraid to fly. But, Mo' Bad, has grounded Hell Rell.

Bill Hughes - Well, you can't just call Mo' Bad a flyer. He's got a good ground game, and he's showing it here.

Jack Gene - Well, Rell continues to fight out of this hold. He's up to his knees now and... he hits Bad with an elbow to the midsection. And another.

[Rell pushes off and runs towards the ropes. He bounces off, but Mo' Bad quickly side steps him and locks on a headlock. Rell tries to fight it off, but Bad wrenches it. Rell pushes him towards the ropes and shoots him across the ring. Bad holds onto the ropes, instead of bouncing back. Rell sees it and charges. Bad lowers his shoulder and propels Hell Rell over the top rope, but somehow Rell holds on and lands on his feet on the apron. As Bad turns around, Rell dives into the ring, shoulder to his midsection. Bad stumbles backwards.]

Jack Gene - Rell is measuring him for something...

[Just then, Hell Rell springs himself over the top rope with a sunset flip. He rolls up Bad. Stephen Tyler gets into position and starts to count.]

Jack Gene - Here's the pin... 1... 2... NO! Bad kicks out, and OH!

Bill Hughes - Nice kick!

Jack Gene - Mo Bad popped up and, just drove his knee into Hell Rell's face. And now Mo' Bad is going for the pin. Digging the tip of his elbow into Hell Rell's head. 1... 2... and Hell Rell gets his shoulder up.

[Mo' Bad stands up and argues with the ref. Hell Rell crawls to his knees and tries to pull himself up. Bad walks up to him and punts him in the midsection.]

Jack Gene - Ugh, man! Hell Rell's got to have some broken ribs after that kick.

[Bad pulls up Rell into a seating position. He then dives, shoulder first, into his back, and locks on a waistlock. Stephen Tyler looks for a tapout.]

Jack Gene - And, Mo' Bad continues to put strain on, just every inch of Hell Rell's body. First, he went after his legs, now going after the ribs and torso area. Hell Rell is showing he's in some great pain here as he struggles to get free.

[Tyler asks Rell if he gives up, but Hell Rell says "no". Bad continues to tighten his grip.]

Bill Hughes - It's quite a simple philosphy, Jack. You've got someone who likes to go for submissions, you break their arms. You've got someone who likes to fly, you break their legs. But, most importantly, regardless of what fighting style you're facing, the only way you'll win is if you break their spirit, and that's exactly what Mo' Bad is doing here.

[Rell continues to fight the hold, and Bad seemingly loses paitence. He stands up and kicks Rell in the back. He pulls Rell up by the head and tosses him into the corner. He lands a right hand, and then a left, causing Hell Rell to raise his guard. As soon as he does, Bad dives into him with a shoulder to the midsection. He takes a step back, then thrusts his right hand into Hell Rell's neck, trying to choke him in the corner. Referee Tyler breaks it up.]

Jack Gene - And you can see that Mo' Bad doesn't like that this match has gone on this long. But, Hell Rell is not giving up.

[Mo' Bad pulls Hell Rell out of the corner, and takes him down with a scoop slam right at a perfect distance from the corner. He then walks to the corner and begins to climb up.]

Jack Gene - And it looks like Mo' Bad is going to go for a high-risk manuever here.

[Bad reaches the top. He looks behind him to measure up Hell Rell and then jumps off.]

Jack Gene - Mo' Bad going for a moonsault, wait! Rell sees it!

[Rell rolls out of the way, but Bad is able to land on his feet. Just then, Hell Rell jumps up and hits a cutter on Mo' Bad.]

Jack Gene - Oh! My god! Hell Rell hit the Beat Break! He's rolling him up and here's the pin! 1... 2...

Bill Hughes - He's got the tights!

Jack Gene - 3! It's over! Hell REll has defeated Mo' Bad!

Bill Hughes - Oh, come on, ref! He had his hand on his tights!

[Hell Rell immediately slides out of the ring as Wayne Inkster climbs in. Mo' Bad is besides himself.]

Wayne Inkster - Here's your winner... Hell Rell!

[The crowd continues to cheer as Hell Rell walks up the ramp with a smile on his face.]

Jack Gene - Big win for Hell Rell, and... what a way to kick off El Dia de los Muertos here at the Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico City. Stay tuned! We've got the MTL Championships coming up next!

[The shot fades.]

El Dia '09 Buildup: MTL Championships

AWS Man/Kronin (c) vs. Valora/Mr. Videogame

Written by: Jade

Jack Gene - And here we go, folks.  The match that everyone wants to see and no one knows if it will be the dream match hoped for.  On paper, AWS Man and Kronin vs Valora and Mr. Videogame is a golden match up, two undefeated teams fighting to see who's the best team in WMW.  In practice, however, that's not likely to happen since AWS Man and Kronin are at odds with each other and AWS Man is...well...

Bill Hughes - Not likely to show up and I don't blame him!  This is a smart move on the Insane one's part.  He let's Kronin fight Valora and Videogame, softening him up and making it that much easier to defend the GLC against Kronin later on tonight.  And we all know what a crappy partner Kronin is, he's had this coming for awhile now.

Jack Gene - What the hell is the color of the sky in your world?

Wayne Inkster - Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match is a tag team match and if for the WMW Tag Team titles.  Introducing first, at a combined weight of 410lbs.  They are the winners of the MTL 2 tournament and the challengers for the WMW Tag Team Titles, they are the team of VALORA and MR. VIDEOGAME!!!!!

[The crowd cheers loudly as 'Poltergist mix' by Binster plays and Valora walks out, wearing her luchadore mask and Mr. Videogame walks out with her.  The two pause for a moment as the crowd cheers, getting louder and louder as the two make their way down the rampway towards the ring and climb in, moving to their corner and conferring with each other.]

Jack Gene - Valora and Videogame seem to be on the same page as they have been the entire tournament.  Valora is wearing her luchadore mask and this is the first time we've seen her wear it since she won it a few months back.

Bill Hughes - It's just wrong that Valora should have to cover that face of hers with a mask... what's wrong with these people and their traditions?

Wayne Inkster - And introducing their opponents.  They are the WMW Tag Team Champions.  Introducing first, hailing from Chicago, Illinois.  He stands 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs in at 270lbs.  He is escorted by Lilly and is the Master of Rock and Shock, KRONIN!

[The crowd cheers as 'Freya' by the Sword plays and Kronin and Lilly walk out, Kronin holding his fist up in the air.  Pyro goes off behind him and he jumps into the air, slamming his fist into the ground as he comes down, in time with the last burst of pyro.  He makes his way down to the ring and climbs into it, holding up his hand, trying to get a bigger response from the crowd and moves over to his corner, leaning against it nonchalantly, meanwhile Lilly stands down at ringside, looking up at Kronin as he prepares for the upcoming match.]

Jack Gene - Kronin looking remarkably unconcerned with the possible situation facing him, of course, he did express that he had a plan of some sort, which could explain the confident look on Kronin's face.

Bill Hughes - Or, he could just be an idiot.  I can't wait to watch Valora and Videogame beat the crap out of Kronin in this match.  It's going to be great and they're probably do so good beating Kronin that it'll make AWS Man's defense later tonight much easier.

Wayne Inkster - And introducing his partner, Hailing from Freakville, North Carolina. He stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs in at 236lbs. He is the Great Lakes Champion and a member of That Damn Awesome! He is AWS MAN (Also Known as Bill)!!!!

[“Three Point One Four” by the Bloodhound Gang plays, causing the fans to erupt in boos. But the boos gradually die down as the Insane One fails to appear at the top of the stage.]

Jack Gene – Well, we can’t say this is unexpected. AWS Man hasn’t expressed much interest in defending the tag titles with his opponent for later in the night, Kronin.

Bill Hughes – I’m sure AWS Man has a good reason if he doesn’t show.

[The WMW-tron suddenly switches to a shot of AWS Man (also known as Bill), sitting back in a recliner in TDA’s locker room. The fans begin booing again as the Insane One leans forward, seeming to stare directly at Kronin in the ring.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – Welly welly freakin’ well. Surprised to see me back here instead of out there with you, Krumpet? Well, I’ve got a freakin’ bombshell for you: I’m not coming.

Jack Gene – What’s he talking about? Pretty much everybody expected this exact same thing.

Bill Hughes – I for one am shocked. AWS Man successfully put one over on all of us again. What a mastermind!

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – You see, Kroenke, I’m tired of carrying your dirty, oversized patoot. I’ve been one half of the freakin’ tag team champions since January, and whether I held the titles with you or Umbrage, it’s been me doing all the work. I’m freakin’ tired of it, and frankly, you don’t deserve it anymore. You’ve never even been grateful to me for allowing you to be one half of the most dominant team in WMW history. So I guess you’ve got two freakin’ options now: You can either back out now, which makes you a freakin’ quitter, and you’ll never be able to look your stupid snot-nosed fans in the face again. Or you can try to defend the titles on your own, in which case good luck, because if you win, I still get to freakin’ keep my title for doing nothing. But you will lose, and I’ll be back here laughing at you. So suck on that, freakwad.
[In the ring, Kronin raises an eyebrow and nods his head, again unsurprised and calls for a mic.  Inkster walks over and hands him the mic and Kronin looks up towards the video image of AWS MAn.]

Kronin - Heh, you know... I saw this coming.  I did.  See, I'm not exactly an idiot myself.  I also figured your plan.  Make me fight a handicap match, soften me up for later on tonight when you and I go at it... but I got some bad news for you.. I had a plan of my own.  A plan that I mentioned to Sault St. Marie and he really loved.  So, here's how it goes down, AWS Man... since you refuse to honor your contract as tag team champion and come down here to defend them, you forfeit your half of them.  This then puts both belts in my possession to do with as I want, including naming a new partner to help me defend them.  So, Long story short, I made a back up plan and found someone backstage who was willing to become tag team champion in case you didn't want to do your job.  So, ladies and gents, give it up for my new tag team partner, and the other half of the tag team champions.... RYVEN!!!

['Grounds for Divorce' by Elbow plays and Ryven walks out, a huge smirk on his face as he makes his way down to the ring and climbs up onto the ring apron.  Ryven pauses and shoots a look to Valora.  Pointing to her as she lowers her eyes and nods.]

Jack Gene - WOW!  Amazing news by Kronin there, who just named Ryven as his new partner!  Do we have confirmation on this from management?!

Bill Hughes - This can't be happening!  Not Ryven!  Oh man!  The two most annoying people in WMW teaming up, this is a nightmare!  But just because Kronin says so, doesn't mean that's how it is!!

Jack Gene - Actually, Bill... I'm receiving word from the back right now that this is going to happen like Kronin said!  WMW Management is confirming that for failure to defend the tag team titles as contractually obligated to, AWS Man has been stripped of his half of the tag team titles and if Kronin and Ryven win, they will be the WMW Tag Team champions!

[In the ring, Ryven and Kronin confer and Valora turns to Videogame, indicating that he can start the match if he wants.  Videogame smiles and nods, stepping towards the middle of the ring.  In the other corner, Kronin and Ryven decide on Kronin to start off and Kronin advances towards the middle of the ring as John Law looks over at both corners and calls for the bell to start the match.]

Jack Gene - And here we go, the match is officially underway!  Any final pre-match thoughts, Bill?

Bill Hughes - Well, I'm definitely rooting for Valora and Videogame now... that's for damn sure.

[In the ring, Kronin and Videogame lock up in a collar and elbow tie up, which is held for a few seconds before Kronin easily moves the hold to a Side Headlock.  Videogame responds with a couple of elbows to the gut of Kronin but Kronin maintains the hold and spins around, grabbing Mr. Videogame from behind with a waist lock and a moment later, Kronin takes Videogame to the mat hard with a German Suplex.  Kronin pulls Videogame to his feet and measures him before nailing him with a hard right hand to the forehead that sends Videogame crashing back down to the mat.  Videogame gets to his feet and throws a punch at Kronin who catches the punch and counters into a standing armbar, putting pressure on Videogame's elbow.]

Jack Gene - And Kronin is in control of this match so far.  He's been overpowering Videogame since the opening bell and now is beginning to target Videogame's arm.  Smart strategy as both of Videogame's big finishers require his arms.

Bill Hughes - Oh for the love of... can't Videogame do anything right?  The match just started and he's already blowing it for Valora!

[In the ring, Kronin moves Videogame towards the corner and Ryven, turning and wrenching on the arm, calling Ryven into the ring.  Ryven steps into the ring and walks over to Videogame, measuring him before delivering a couple of solid punches to Videogame's shoulder, causing him to wince in pain.  Valora jumps on the ropes and screams at the ref to get Ryven out of the ring before she runs down to the neutral corner directly vertical to where Kronin, Videogame and Ryven are and she jumps onto the turnbuckle and leaps into the air , hitting Videogame and Kronin with a double dropkick that ends up catching Ryven as well, leaving all four competitors on the mat as the crowd goes wild.  John Law steps in and orders both Ryven and Valora out of the ring.  Ryven moves out of the ropes and reaches over and tags Kronin before re-entering and bypassing Videogame completely as he tackles Valora as she gets up and begins raining down punches on her face as the crowd boos loudly.  Ryven then smirks and quickly rolls over, locking Valora into his triangle choke submission hold.  Videogame gets to his feet and runs over, grabbing Ryven from behind and taking him to the mat face first with a bulldog.  Valora rolls out of the ring and drops to a knee, shaking her head.  She recovers quickly though and runs back to her corner as Ryven and Videogame trade punches in the middle of the ring before Videogame goes low with a knee to the midsection of Ryven and whips him into his and Valora's corner, rushing in after Ryven and hitting him with a big body splash, grabbing Ryven and taking him back to the mat with another bulldog.]

Jack Gene - Well this match is certainly moving now and Videogame is showing signs of life!  Valora breaks up the double team by hitting Kronin, Ryven, and her own partner with a dropkick which gave Ryven the opening to tag himself into the match and he ignored Videogame going right for Valora, but Videogame not only came to Valora's aid but now seems to have some momentum in this match as he has Ryven reeling after that body splash into a bulldog combo move!

Bill Hughes - This is great!  If Videogame is able to pin Ryven, that will be a huge lesson in humility to that arrogant ass....

[Videogame pulls Ryven to his feet and whips him into their corner as he moves forward and tags Valora in, taking Ryven down with a belly to belly suplex as Valora leaps off the turnbuckle and nails Ryven with a frog splash, immediately going for the cover as the crowd goes nuts, the stadium seeming to shake with the noise level  Law makes the count but Ryven kicks out after a 2 count.  Valora gets up and pulls Ryven to his feet and whips him into the ropes, Kronin reaching over and making the blind tag as Valora charges forward and takes Ryven down with a flying corkscrew elbow, sending Ryven to the mat.  Valora jumps to her feet just in time to be knocked inside out as Kronin runs through her with a massive clothesline, bringing boos from the crowd as Ryven rolls out of the ring and makes his way back to his corner to catch his breath.]

Jack Gene - First near fall of the match there folks!  Valora and Videogame hit Ryven with an impressive double team move but it just wasn't enough to get the win that time and Ryven and Kronin are functioning well as a team here as they make another tag and Kronin comes in and just levels Valora with a massive clothesline.

Bill Hughes - Good team?  They haven't made a willing tag yet.  Ryven tagged himself into the match and Kronin turned around and did the same thing!

[Valora gets to her feet, narrowing her eyes and raises her fists as her and Kronin circle each other.  Valora charges in and throws a punch, which Kronin catches and tries to take Valora down with a hip toss, but Valora jumps into it and lands on her feet, before immediately jumping up and nailing Kronin with a dropkick, sending him staggering back.  She then rushes in and jumps up, trying for a hurrancanrana, but Kronin catches her in mid air, lifts her up into a last ride position and slams her to the mat with authority, bringing an 'oooh' from the crowd and causing Ryven to applaud on the ring apron.  Kronin pulls Valora to her feet and whips her hard into his and Ryven's corner.  Kronin follows her into the corner and makes the tag to Ryven before lifting Valora up into a military press position while climbing to the top rope.  Ryven kneels down, holding one knee out and Kronin press drops Valora gut first onto Ryven's knee, causing her to hit hard and roll over, holding her ribs and midsection.  Ryven doesn't give Valora anytime to catch her breath before dragging her to her feet and taking her to the mat with a belly to belly suplex.  He pulls her to her feet again and whips her into the ropes, as she comes off the ropes and heads back towards him, he tries for the tilt a whirl backbreaker but Valora counters taking him down with a head scissors takedown.  Both fighters staying on the mat for a few moments as Valora grips her midsection and Ryven starts to recover.]

Jack Gene - Well, Kronin and Ryven made a normal tag there and then nearly broke Valora's ribs with that gut buster from the top rope.  Valora bought herself some time with that head scissors take over but she needs to get Videogame back into this match and soon, especially since she has to think about later on tonight as well.

Bill Hughes - But that means she has to trust Videogame not to drop the ball!

[Valora crawls towards Videogame and Ryven grabs her foot, but Valora dives forward and makes the tag to Videogame's out stretched hand.  Videogame charges in and tries for a clothesline but grabs the arm and with a quick turn and flips, sends Videogame down to the ground before quickly locking in the armbar on the mat as John Law checks for the submission.  Videogame shakes his head no and tries to turn his body to relieve pressure on the elbow as Valora leans over the rope, hollering advice and encouragement.  Ryven fights to keep the hold on bit finally lets go and gets to his feet.  The two start a collar and elbow tie up but Ryven quickly moves it to a side headlock, punching Videogame in the side of the head a couple of times before bringing his knee up hard into Videogame's face.  Ryven then wrenches Videogame's arm and leads him to their corner, where Ryven makes the tag to Kronin.  Kronin steps through the ropes and measures Videogame, punching his shoulder with three big, measured punches before Ryven pushes Videogame into Kronin, who takes Videogame down with a massive belly to belly suplex as Ryven steps through the ropes.]

Jack Gene - God, Valora and Mr. Videogame just can't get a break!  Ryven and Kronin have a game plan and are sticking to it, attacking that arm of Mr. Videogame non stop, and focusing their attacks on Valora's midsection when she was in.  She's barely had time to catch her breath and Videogame needs to tag out already!

Bill Hughes - This night is not off to a good start!

[Kronin stalks around Videogame and as Videogame gets up slapping his arm and shoulder, trying to get some feeling back in the arm, Kronin is waiting for him and throws a big right hand that Videogame ducks and then responds with a big knife edge chop across Kronin's chest.  Videogame wastes no time and follows up with another big chop and then grabs Kronin, whipping him into the ropes and setting up for his return move but as he hits the ropes, Kronin launches himself into the air and nails Videogame with a flying shoulder tackle that sends Videogame flying back into his corner, where Valora makes a blind tag and slingshots herself onto the ropes and into the ring, where Kronin tries to catch her but Valora grabs him and hits a tornado DDT, taking Kronin to the mat and bringing a big cheer from the ground.  Valora jumps to her feet as Kronin gets to his feet and meets him with vicious knife edge chops, aiming for a series of three but Kronin catches the third chop attempt and turns it into an abdominal stretch, torquing back on the hold, causing Valora to grunt in pain.  Every few seconds, Kronin slams his free fist into Valora's exposed rib cage.  Valora chants rise from the crowds as Videogame looks into the ring, massaging his shoulder and arm, trying to get feeling back in it.]

Jack Gene - Oh God!  It's the abdominal stretch!  It might be a basic move but when some as big as Kronin locks it on you then punches your exposed rib cage... my god that's going to tear Valora's insides apart!  Kronin and Ryven have come with a plan folks.  First Kronin sent Videogame flying with a massive flying shoulder block and Valora was then able to tag herself in.  She tried for a crossbody block but Kronin caught her but Valora adjusted and took him down with a tornado DDT, but Kronin has gotten the advantage right back here with the Abdominal Stretch.

Bill Hughes - Yeah well... if Kronin injures Valora, these people will kill him.  He's already injured Jade, how many more women does Kronin have to maim before we kick him out on his hippie ass?  I thought hippies were supposed to be peaceful...

Jack Gene - They are.

Bill Hughes - That does not look like a peaceful hippie to me!!!

Jack Gene - That's because Kronin is a rocker.  They tend to be a bit more...violent.

Bill Hughes - Well AWS Man says he's a hippie and I think AWS Man is a much better judge of character then you are.  Kronin should have his hippie membership card revoked!

[In the ring, Kronin has had the abdominal stretch hold on the entire time and Valora is rapidly wearing down.  John Law checks for the submission but Valora shakes her head no, prompting another strike from Kronin, before Kronin lifts Valora up and takes her to the mat with a running powerslam.  Valora grunts audibly as she is taken to the mat hard and the crowd groans in shard pain.  Kronin looks around from the prone Valora to the turnbuckle and smirks, rolling Valora over and bending down into her face, giving her the finger and yelling "You can't beat me!" before running to the turnbuckle and jumping off, trying for a Aztec moonsault, but not getting quite the turn on the corkscrew portion of it as Valora would, landing hard on Valora and immediately going for the pin attempt as Ryven laughs his ass off on the ring apron, nearly losing his balance as the crowd boos loudly.  Law drops down and makes the count 1.....2.....3Videogame flies into view of the camera, landing with the point of his elbow on the back of Kronin's head, breaking up the pinfall attempt, grimacing in pain as it's the injured arm he uses to do so.]

Jack Gene - Wow!  Last second, and I mean last second save by Videogame there!  How humiliating that would have been if Valora had been beaten with her own Aztec Moonsault here in Mexico City!

Bill Hughes - Copyright infringement!!! Arrest that stoned out rocker....hippie....freak....guy.....!  He can't use another wrestlers move!

Jack Gene - Ummm actually, yes he can...there's no rule that says that just because Valora uses a corkscrew moonsault she calls the Aztec moonsault that no other wrestler anywhere in the world can use that same move.

[In the ring, Ryven leans over the ropes, calling for the tag.  Kronin shrugs and walks over to Ryven and makes the tag as John Law tells Videogame to leave the ring.  Videogame does and Ryven pulls Valora to her feet, hooking her for a suplex and lifts her up into a vertical suplex hold, but Valora blocks the hold and immediately counters into an inside cradle.  Law counts 1.....2...Ryven kicks out at the last second and jumps to his feet enraged, pelting Valora with soccer style kicks as she tries to get up, until Valora grabs Ryven's leg and spins around, sweeping Ryven's legs out from under him with a Capoeira style kick.  Valora then does a forward roll and comes up, making the tag to Videogame while she slips through the ropes and sits on the apron, holding her ribs and midsection.  Videogame runs forward and tries for a burning lariat, but Ryven grabs him and takes him down with a hip toss, holding onto Videogame's arm and placing the elbow against Ryven's knee as Ryven pulls back on the arm, causing Videogame to grit his teeth in pain.  Videogame eventually manages to turn his body and get his foot in the ropes, though and John Law calls for the break.  Ryven breaks the hold and Videogame rolls around on the mat, holding his arm.  Ryven pulls Videogame to his feet and measures him, before driving his elbow into Videogame's arm, elbow area.  He then whips Videogame into the ropes and catches him as he comes off the ropes, taking Videogame to the mat with an overhead belly to belly suplex.  Ryven then gets up and walks over to where Videogame lies on the mat and drops an elbow onto the point of his forehead.  Valora stands up and jumps up onto the ropes, springboarding into the ring, only to be hit in mid air by Kronin who runs into the ring and spears Valora in mid air.  Valora rolls out of the ring to the floor, holding her ribs and Ryven pulls Videogame to his feet as Kronin gets to his feet as well and Ryven decks Videogame, sending him staggering backwards where he turns to find Kronin waiting.  Kronin nails him with a right hand, turning him to face Ryven who nails him with a left hand.  The two continue to alternate punches, bouncing Videogame back and forth between them.  Ryven bounces off the ropes, going for a clothesline, but Valora grabs him around the foot and trips him up, pulling him out onto the floor where she kicks him in the gut and then runs and jumps up, using her short hurrancanrana move to slam him face first into the floor.  In the ring, Kronin and Videogame trade punches with each other but finally Kronin grabs Videogame's fist and drops him to the mat hooking in the crossface, wrenching back as Valora sees the move and climbs up onto the apron, slingshotting over the ropes and hitting Kronin with a leg drop, breaking the submission hold.  Valora gets to her feet gritting her teeth and bounces off the ropes, catching Kronin as he gets up and taking him face first into the mat with another hurrancanrana like leg scissors face slam, before rolling over into a corner of the ring, holding her ribs and trying to breathe.]

Jack Gene - And this has completely broken down!  Luna Pier seems to have given up trying to keep only the legal people in and is letting this go almost tornado style!  Valora is effectively fighting a handicap match though as she has had to keep Ryven occupied but also come in to help Videogame from Kronin as well, a feat that is getting harder and harder with that injured midsection of Valora...

Bill Hughes - God Damn it!  This always happens to Valora!  First Pyre let her down, and now Videogame's dropping the ball!  That's it!  I'm starting a new charity!  'Find a real partner for Valora' foundation!  You can make donations at 1-800-

Jack Gene - Bill!

[Ryven reaches in and pulls Valora out to the floor, holding his hand out, measuring her before nailing a strike to her throat and immediately wrapping her in a side headlock, wrenching on the neck.  Videogame gets to his feet in the ring and starts moving towards Kronin, pulling Kronin to his feet when suddenly Kronin grabs Videogame's arms and spins around, dropping Videogame face first onto the mat and locking in a fujiwara armbar, pulling Videogame's arm back into Kronin's body, putting all the pressure on Videogame's elbow.  Videogame tries to fight the hold, gritting his teeth in pain as Luna Pier checks for a submission.]

Jack Gene - Wow! and Just like that folks, Kronin and Ryven have taken control of this match!  Valora is isolated outside the ring and Kronin has Videogame in a very painful armbar hold... given the damage already done to Videogame's arm... he needs to tap out now, before Kronin  breaks the arm!

Bill Hughes - No!  Fight that hold, you videogame loving nerd!  You can't let Valora down!!

[Kronin increases the pressure slowly but steadily in the ring as Luna Pier continues to ask Videogame if he wants to tap but Videogame shakes his head no.  Finally Kronin's frustration begins to show and he yanks back on the arm, increasing the pressure a good deal and suddenly, without warning Videogame cries out in intense pain and taps on the mat hard and fast.  Luna Pier immediately calls for the bell and without missing a beat waves for the medics to come down.  As Kronin releases the hold, Videogame curls up into a ball, holding his injured arm.]

Wayne Inkster - Ladies and Gentlemen, your winners, by way of submission and the new WMW Tag Team Champions, KRONIN AND RYVEN!!!!

Jack Gene - My God!  A sudden, violent end to this match as I think Kronin broke Videogame's arm!

Bill Hughes - I don't think he broke it... I think Videogame is just a wuss and tapped out... his arm doesn't look to be all funny and out of line, if anything, Kronin hyperextended Videogame's elbow...

Jak Gene - Which is still quite painful and a severe injury itself... he also could have done muscle and tissue damage to Videogame's arm.  We'll have to see folks... stayed tuned to WMW for medical updates.

[Ryven releases the hold and slides into the ring, taking his half of the tag team titles and celebrating with Kronin in the ring while Valora kicks the steel steps in frustration and shakes her head, walking over to check on Videogame as the medics wrap his arm up and with Valora's help, help Videogame backstage.]

Jack Gene - Well, this was definitely not the way Valora wanted to start the night here in Mexico City.  A tough, hard fought loss and her partner injured and now, you have to ask how much will she have left in the gas tank for her ASC match?  On the other side, Kronin proved he can win the big matches without AWS Man.  And now, he and Ryven are the tag team champions and with the top two submission specialists in the WMW on the same team...well that's going to be a huge mountain for the other tag teams in the WMW to climb...

Bill Hughes - Yeah, but the idiot Kronin will never be able to beat AWS Man now!  He's going to be less then 100%!

[The scene fades.]

El Dia '09 Buildup: Heartlands Championship

Hecate (c) vs. Audrie McLaughlin

Written by: Hecate

Wayne Inkster - The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Heartlands Division Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, hailing from San Francisco, California. She weights in tonight at 170lbs and stands 5' 10" tall, she is the San Francisco Shooter....AUDRIE 'THE BUTCHER" MCLAUGHLIN!!!

The lights go out as “When The Storm Comes,” by Blood For Blood hits and a single spot light shines down on the entrance ramp. Coming through the curtain, taped fists clenched, is Audrie McLaughlin. The black hood from her jacket keeps her face hidden as she makes her way down to the ring, shouldering past any fans reaching out to her. She moves up the steps and wipes her feet before entering the ring. She stands in the center of the ring and throws back her hood, making a cut throat motion.]

Jack Gene - Audrie McLaughlin has promised to win here tonight...no she's guaranteed that she will beat Hecate tonight.

Bill Hughes - Audrie is confident and cocky, but she might already be looking past Hecate to the shoot championship which could come back and cost her in this match.

Jack Gene - And with her promise that this would be the last time she was seen if she lost tonight, that puts alot of pressure on Audrie.

Bill Hughes - That was a very risky thing to promise, it hasn't worked out very well for others here. Maybe Audrie will be the one to break that streak.

Wayne Inkster - And currently making her way to the ring, hailing from Delphi, Greece and is the current reigning Heartlands Division Champion. She weighs in tonight at 158lbs and stands 5' 10" tall, she is a member of the Daughters of Darkness, the Dark Priestess herself......HECATE!!!

[The arena suddenly goes black as the opening cords to the "Dance of Curse from the Escaflowne soundtrack" starts to play through the arena as a single spot light shines down on a figure at the top of the entry ramp completely concealed by a full red cloak. The figure remains still for several moments as the song plays through the arena until it reaches a crescendo in the music, the figure then exploding into motion, tossing the cloak off and lifting one hand to the sky and looking up for a moment before dropping it's gaze to look at the wrestler in the ring. Dressed in gold and red, Hecate looks much like an ancient Greek with her red hot pants, gold top with a design like a Greek warrior's breastplate on it. On her arms she wears fingerless black and gold gloves, designed to look like bracers and her wrestling boots have been designed to look like leg greaves from the front and Hecate has applied warriors battle paint to her face for this match.]

Jack Gene - She changed her music again, she's going through as many theme songs as Valora is.

Bill Hughes - Well the two of them do hang out alot and train together, perhaps they are rubbing off on each other...I would pay to see that.

Jack Gene - Hecate is looking to reverse her recent luck against Audrie, so far in both confrontations, Hecate has come up short against Audrie.

Bill Hughes - She looks to be more focused that the last singles match these two had. This could turn into a very brutal match very quickly.

[Hecate starts to make her way down to the ring as the lights come back on, pausing about half way down the ramp and letting out a battle cry and pumping her fist in the air while Audrie paces back and forth in the ring with her eyes locked on Hecate. The crowd very mixed, some cheering for Audrie, some for Hecate but most seem to be booing both of the women as Hecate climbs into the ring. Referee Luna Pier making sure Audrie stays in her corner as Hecate climbs between the ropes and moves over to the center of the ring and kneels down on one knee, bowing her head a moment in a prayer before jumping up to both feet with another battle cry and moving to her corner. Both women come to the center of the ring where Luna Pier shows the Heartlands Belt to both wrestlers then lifts it above her head before one of the ring side attendants takes the belt out of the ring. When Luna Pier finishes going over the match instructions with both women, Hecate extends her hand towards Audrie who bats it aside and just glares at Hecate before Luna Pier sends both women back to their corners.]

Jack Gene - Wow! Hecate extended her hand in a pre-match gesture and Audrie just batted it away, Audrie certainly is setting the tone for this match even before it gets started.

Bill Hughes - Audrie said she didn't like Hecate at all, and has no intention of giving Hecate any respect it seems.

Jack Gene - What game plans do you think these two have going into the match, Audrie seems intent on showing she's a technical wrestler as well.

Bill Hughes - She might be, but might be better sticking with her brutal style that brought her to the match. Hecate doesn't have hard core experience and Audrie's already shown she can beat Hecate with that style.

Jack Gene - You don't think that Valora would have helped Hecate in that area?

Bill Hughes - Hardcore isn't something you can really teach a person, either they have that in them or they don't. Hecate is tough, no doubt about that and she can come at you with different styles, but the brutal hard core mentality is just not something she's used to. A grounded match favors Hecate a bit, but Audrie does have enough experience to keep up with Hecate long enough to overpower Hecate and put the champion away with her brutal butcher style.

Jack Gene - So you're predicting Audrie will win this match then. I can't believe that we actually agree with a pre-match prediction for once. Audrie seems to have Hecate's number and I think it will continue tonight. And Luna Pier is calling for the bell.

(Ring, ring, ring)

[Hecate and Audrie slowly move towards the center of the ring, Hecate lashing out with a quick low kick aimed at Audrie's leg but Audrie is able to dodge out of the way before the kick lands. Audrie backs up a moment and the two move towards each other again, this time Hecate feints the low leg kick but actually leaps forward and connects with an elbow to the side of Audrie's head, knocking Audrie back a few steps where she rubs the side of her face while glaring at Hecate. Finally the two lock up in the middle of the ring, jockeying back and forth for the advantage with neither one getting the edge for several moments but then Audrie gets the upper hand and breaks the lockup with a hammerlock on Hecate's left arm. Hecate twists to her right, sending the point of her elbow into Audrie's ribs over and over until Audrie breaks the hammerlock by yanking Hecate to the mat by the hair, earning Audrie a warning from Luna Pier which Audrie simply ignores.]

Jack Gene - Audrie once again showing her contempt not only for Hecate but perhaps for the WMW with her complete disregard of Luna Pier's warning after using the hair to take Hecate to the mat.

Bill Hughes - Expect to see alot more of that during this match. Audrie looks like she plans to do everything she can to belittle and ruin Hecate before destroying her. Just like she is doing now by standing on Hecate's hair and pulling her up by the arms.

[Audrie sports a sadistic smile as she pulls up on Hecate's arms, bringing a growl of pain from the prone woman, shoving downwards as she steps back at the count of four and a half, slamming the back of Hecate's head off the mat. As Hecate grabs the back of her head, Audrie runs and bounces off the ropes to deliver a running knee to the side of Hecate's head as the Champion start to get up, sending Hecate back down to the mat. As Hecate rolls over face down on the mat, Audrie steps up behind Hecate and grabs both her arms and lifts her up and placing one foot between Hecate's shoulder blades. Audrie looks around with a condescending look before lifting the foot off Hecate's shoulder blade's, kicking downwards to drive Hecate face first into the mat as Audrie releases her arms. Audrie continues her assault on the champion by lifting Hecate's legs up and grabbing the champion around the waist in a wheelbarrow hold, pausing a moment to smirk at the dazed champion, flipping her over backwards and slamming the back of Hecate's head and her shoulders into the mat with a wheelbarrow suplex. Audrie bridges up as she keeps her arms locked around Hecate's waist, turning the suplex into a pin attempt.]

Jack Gene - Good Lord! Audrie may be trying to knock Hecate out or give the champion a concussion. The Butcher is focusing on Hecate's head and neck and here is the first pin attempt of the match...Luna Pier in position...1...2...Hecate rolled her shoulder and broke up the pin attempt.

Bill Hughes - Nice series of high impact moves by Audrie there, but it's too early in the match to put Hecate away. Audrie needs to keep up with this style and keep wearing Hecate down.

[Audrie looks down at Hecate a moment before running and springing off the ropes, rushing back towards Hecate to connect with a short snap leg drop right across the back of Hecate's head. Rising to one knee, Audrie puts the shin of her leg across the back of Hecate's neck, grinding her head into the mat as Audrie paintbrushes the back of her head and yells down at Hecate as the champion thrashes underneath that leg. The Mexican fans are starting to cheer more for Hecate in response to Audrie's actions although Audrie is still getting a fair share of the cheers. Finally lifting off the champion, Audrie reaches down and pulls Hecate up by her hair, bending the champion over backwards and walks in place, spinning in a circle before drawing her thumb across her throat but before Audrie can lock in her Sweet Dreams submission hold, Hecate kicks off the mat and flips upwards to smash a knee into Audrie's face. The momentum of the flip and the impact of the knee sends Audrie down to the mat with Hecate landing on top of her before rolling off to the side.]

Jack Gene - The first real signs of life from the Champion, so far this match has been pretty much all Audrie, but that counter to the Sweet Dreams might have knocked some of Audrie's teeth out. Luna Pier is starting the ten count on both wrestlers.

Bill Hughes - That was a wicked knee strike by Hecate but lets see if she can follow it up with more offense. So far she's been about as effective as a blow up doll.

[Audrie gets to her knees as Hecate starts to get up, sliding over and clamping her arms around Hecate's head in a side head lock. Hecate grabs Audrie around the waste and turn, pulling Audrie over onto her back and shoulders but Audrie uses her legs to help roll back before Luna Pier can even get a one count. Hecate rolls her body once again, pressing Audrie's shoulders to the mat and gets a one count before Audrie is able roll back up to a sitting position. Audrie makes the grinding motion as she cinches down harder on the head lock but Hecate manages to get one knee under her and slips her head free while at the same time grabbing one of Audrie's arms and pulling it up into a hammer lock.]

Jack Gene - Audrie mixing up her attack, looks like she is going to try and keep Hecate grounded after that first overpowering assault.

Bill Hughes - I know Audrie holds Hecate and seemingly the rest of the WMW in utter contempt, but trying to out wrestle in a ground or mat match is like Valora trying to make Ryven tap out to a submission move. I think Audrie may be letting her contempt get the better of her judgment here.

[Audrie twists to the right then back to the left, trying to seek leverage to break the hammer lock, but Hecate just yanks up higher on the arm. Grimacing in pain from the hold, Audrie reaches down and pulls Hecate's leg up between her legs, sending the Champion off balance. As the pair falls to the mat, Audrie locks on a knee bar, trying to hyper-extend Hecate's knee. Hecate immediately counters by using her other leg, hooking it over her ankle and pulling back, bending her knee as she sits up and wraps Audrie's head under her arm, turning the knee bar into a headlock. Audrie release her attempt on the knee bar and as both wrestlers rise to their feet, wraps her arms around Hecate's waist and flips Hecate over her head in a release overhand belly to belly suplex.]

Bill Hughes - See that is what Audrie needs to stick with, the power and high impact moves. Hecate just has too many tricks to try to fight her in a ground or mat game.

Jack Gene - Hecate was able to almost instantly counter that knee bar attempt. Audrie will need to weaken Hecate alot more if she wants the ground game to be successful.

[As Hecate gets back to her feet, slowly after that suplex, Audrie moves up to hook her arms around Hecate's waist from behind this time but before Audrie can lift Hecate up into the suplex, Hecate locks her foot around Audrie's leg to block the attempt. Audrie goes for a second attempt at the belly to back suplex, but Hecate is able to block it again. Hecate then drops forward into a roll, using Audrie's position to off balance the challenger and as a result send Audrie stumbling ahead of her and through the ropes to the outside. Hecate wastes no time in using the ropes to spring board over the top and down onto Audrie in a splash which brings the loudest cheer from the audience so far this match. Referee Luna Pier warns both wrestlers to get back into the ring as the two of them slowly untangle themselves and get back to their feet.]

Jack Gene - And just like that Hecate is able to switch gears with that springboard splash over the top rope.

Bill Hughes - Hecate will need to keep mixing it up, keep Audrie off her toes but outside the ring favors Audrie more than it does Hecate.

[Hecate moves to get back into the ring, but Audrie stops her, pulling the champion back by the waistband of her hot pants and buries an elbow in the small of Hecate's back. Keeping a hold of Hecate's pants, Audrie delivers several more elbow shots to Hecate's lower back and spine before spinning Hecate around, grabbing one arm and whipping her across to crash head first into the ring steps. Quickly rolling in and out of the ring to break Luna Pier's ten count, Audrie stalks over to Hecate as the champion lays curled against the steel steps. Pulling Hecate up by her hair, Audrie grins as holds up Hecate's head to show the blood flowing down her face. Audrie looks down and actually spits in Hecate's face before going to whip her into the ring steps on the other side, but Hecate reverses it and sends Audrie face first into the ring steps. Wiping the blood from her eyes, Hecate rolls into the ring and moves up to the rope, gripping it with both hands and watching as Audrie starts to get back to her feet. Despite Luna Pier's warnings, Hecate uses the top rope to springboard over one more time, this time driving Audrie face first into the thin mats at ringside with a Hades Bound, bringing a huge cheer from the crowd.]

Jack Gene - OH!MY!GOD! Hecate just jumped over the top rope and connected with a Hades Bound on the outside! Neither woman is moving!

Bill Hughes - And these moronic dirty spics are eating it up. Don't they know that move would have hurt Hecate just as much as it did Audrie.

Jack Gene - Luna Pier is starting her ten count...Good!Lord! Both Hecate and Audrie are busted wide open now.

Bill Hughes - I told you this match would turn brutal, both women are starting to stir, but how much damage did Hecate do not only to Audrie with that move, but to herself.

[Luna is standing by the ropes, looking down on the bloody faces of Audrie and Hecate as the two fighters start pull themselves together....1....2....Hecate is holding her back as she uses the ring apron to pull herself up to one knee while Audrie rolls over onto all fours and puts one hand on the steel steps....3....4....Audrie is uses the steel steps to push herself upright, wiping the blood from her eyes as Hecate stumbles back against the opposite steel steps....5....6....with a growl, Audrie charges towards Hecate, looking to spear her into the ring post or the steps, but Hecate rolls into the ring and Audrie crashes hard into the steel steps. Hecate slips back out of the ring and pulls Audrie up to her feet, rolling the challenger into the ring before sliding in after her. Pulling Audrie to her feet, Hecate bends the challenger over and wraps her arms around Audrie's neck and then gripping her tights, lifting Audrie up and laying her feet over the top rope, walking backwards until just Audrie's feet are on the ropes. Lifting her arm and howling out a battle cry which seems to fire the fans up again, Hecate then drives her forearm into Audrie's shoulder blades while falling backwards to the mat, driving Audrie's bloody face into the mat. Hecate quickly rolls Audrie over, covering her for a pinfall. Luna Pier drops into position...1...2....Audrie manages to get her leg on the rope to break up the pinfall attempt.]

Jack Gene - Audrie tried to spear Hecate into the steel steps and it certainly backfired as Hecate was able to get out of the way. I'm not sure how Audrie managed to get her foot on the rope but she did after that brutal DDT move from Hecate.

Bill Hughes - Both women have been beaten up, are bloody messes, I am not sure how much more punishment either of these women can take. Hecate may have been right when she said the only way Audrie would get the title was to pry it out of her lifeless hands.

Jack Gene - What a minute, is that Mo' Bad at the top of the entrance ramp? What is he doing here...

Bill Hughes - Looks like he came out to watch the match, remember Hecate did distract him at Graveyard Shift 100 which lead to Amariie being victorious.

[Mo' Bad starts to walk down to ringside, he's wearing a Valora t-shirt and has one of her bandanna's on his head, strolling around the ring and jawing with some of the fans, most likely trying to push his Mo' Bad restructuring plan on them which they respond with by booing Mo' Bad loudly. Neither Audrie or Hecate seem to notice Mo' bad at ringside as Hecate pulls Audrie to her feet, hooking her up for another DDT, but this time hooking her arms under Audrie's knees and with a slight push off, flips over, bringing Audrie with her and driving the challengers head into the mat. Hecate rolls Audrie over and goes for another pinfall but Luna Pier isn't around to make the count.]

Jack Gene - Good!Lord!Almighty! That has to be it! Hecate just connected with her flip DDT on Audrie who looks to be completely out after that move. But where it the referee!?!

Bill Hughes - Luna Pier is busy with Mo' Bad, it looks like he is trying to point something out to her.

Jack Gene - Hecate just realizes that Luna is not there to make the count, she's up and moving over to the side of the ring where Luna and Mo' Bad are. Hecate is pointing back towards where Audrie is still down and making a pin count motion but Luna is pointing to Mo' Bad.

[As Luna and Hecate confront Mo' Bad, Audrie gets to her hands and knees and crawls over to the corner, pulling herself up and starts to take the pad off the top turnbuckle. Mo' Bad, meanwhile takes the Valora bandanna off and wipes himself down with it before balling it up and throwing it at Hecate who looks ready to come through the ropes, blood dripping all down her face and onto her ring attire. Hecate stops and with a grin on her face, bends down and picks the bandanna up, rolling it out and tying it around her forehead, the bandanna quickly getting soaked with Hecate's blood as Luna gives Mo' Bad one look and makes the over exaggerated ejection motion, sending Mo' Bad to the back amid cheers from the Mexican fans for both the ejection and Hecate donning Valora's bandanna. On the other side of the ring, Audrie finishes pulling the turnbuckle padding off and tosses it into the fans before pushing herself out of the corner.]

Jack Gene - The fans are going wild as Hecate puts on the Valora bandanna, consummating it with her own blood. Mo' Bad's attempt to get under Hecate's skin might have backfired.

Bill Hughes - Maybe not, it did distract both Hecate and Luna Pier, allowing Audrie to get the padding off the top turnbuckle, that could play a critical roll later in this match.

Jack Gene - Yeah what a way to potentially cheapen what has been a great match between these two so far.

[As security staff escorts Mo' Bad to the back after his ejection, Hecate turns back towards Audrie only get taken down by a running spear from the challenger. Audrie, her own face a crimson mask of  fresh and dried blood, gets in the mount position and starts raining punches and elbows down on Hecate but the Greek wrestler quickly counters by bringing her legs up and around Audrie's arms, using them to pull Audrie down to the mat. The champion grabs a hold of one of Audrie's legs, wrapping her arm around the Achilles tendon and pressing down on the knee with her other hand. Audrie grimaces and growls out in pain before she is able to roll herself over and grab the ropes to break the hold.]

Jack Gene - What the hell, Hecate with what appeared to be a variation of an ankle lock that Audrie was very quick to find a way out of.

Bill Hughes - That is a Pankration Achilles leg lock, can very easily break a leg or rupture the Achilles tendon, Audrie was smart to get out of that hold quickly.

Jack Gene - Both wrestlers look like that are running on fumes though right now, Hecate's submission skills can really make the difference at this point.

Bill Hughes - Both of them need to start thinking about serious putting this match away. Audrie seems hesitant to go with her tried and true FYL.

Jack Gene - She must be figuring Amariie shared the counter to that with Hecate, which means Audrie must be thinking submission to beat Hecate at her own game or she has something else in store for the champion.

Bill Hughes - Audrie tried for the Sweet Dreams earlier in the match, so look for her to go for that again. Hecate, this is where she really is dangerous for she really does like to switch things up and she has moves that could really end it fast

Jack Gene - Like she did with Dess a few weeks ago. Audrie just ducked a spinning roundhouse kick by Hecate and connected with jumping Enziguri to the back of Hecate's head!

[Audrie wipes some more blood from her face, flicking it down onto the back and hair of Hecate before pulling the champion up to her feet, locking both of Hecate's arms in a double under hook and grinning sadistically as she starts into her series of knee strikes to the seemingly defenseless Hecate. After the first couple knee strikes, Hecate hops a little, just enough to hook both her legs around the back of Audrie's knees, shifting her weight and causing Audrie not to be able to strike with those knees. The counter overbalances Audrie enough that the woman falls backwards to the mat, turning the move into a double under hook DDT. Somehow Hecate has the presence of mind to grab onto Audrie closest arm as she rolls away from Audrie and quickly twist, bringing both her legs around the grapevine the arm and tries to cinch in an armbar.]

Jack Gene - I am still not sure exactly what happened there, it all happened so fast but it started with the FYF by Audrie and ended with an arm bar submission hold by Hecate.

Bill Hughes - This is the exhaustion factor playing in, Hecate made sure she trained for several days in the conditions down here which no one knows if Audrie even considered Hecate enough of a threat to do. If it had been earlier in the match, Hecate might not have been able to counter that or if she did come out in the dominant position like she has.

[Hecate twists on Audrie's arm and tries to get her legs locked around the arm, but Audrie is about to get her other arm in between them, keeping Hecate from fully getting the hold locked on. With a grimace, Audrie rises up to one knee, while Hecate holds on and does a forwards roll to get close enough to put a foot on the rope. Luna Pier forces Hecate to break the submission hold, which she does at the count of four. Hecate climbs back to her feet only to be on the receiving end of bull rush by Audrie, which takes Hecate down to the mat. Using Hecate's own hair, Audrie slams the back of Hecate's head into the mat over and over until Luna Pier forces her to break it up. Rising to her feet with a condescending look on her face, Audrie once again makes a cutthroat motion across her neck with her thumb.]

Jack Gene - Looks like Audrie is sensing victory here, she's eying that exposed turnbuckle too. I think she has something diabolical planned for the champion.

Bill Hughes - Audrie went back to her brutal butcher style, over powering Hecate and she primed to take her place as the Heartlands Champion.

[Audrie pulls Hecate back up to her feet by Hecate's hair, but Hecate breaks free and ducks an elbow strike attempt by Audrie and responds by burying a knee in Audrie's midsection. After an elbow strike of her own to the side of Audrie's head, Hecate whips Audrie across the ring, off the ropes and catches Audrie in an Arn Anderson style spinning spine buster. Hecate takes a few steps back, crouching slightly and motioning for Audrie to get to her feet, a wicked expression forming on her face.]

Jack Gene - I think Hecate is stalking Audrie to deliver another Hades Bound to the challenger.

Bill Hughes - Audrie might be expecting that but Hecate has shown she can connect with that move from just about anywhere and any direction.

[Audrie makes it back to her feet just as Hecate starts to rush in, Audrie brings her arms up to fend off any attempt at the Hades Bound but Hecate just grins and delivers what is commonly called the Spartan Kick to Audrie's midsection which drops Audrie to the mat like a sack of potatoes. Hecate doesn't give Audrie a chance to recover, dropping down in a kneeling position over Audrie's body and twisting Audrie so she is on her side. Hecate then bends Audrie's arm in double, looping one of her arms though it and locking onto her other arm as she starts to pull Audrie's arm and shoulder back towards her spine rather violently.]

Bill Hughes - Holy Shit! I thought that move was just made up for the movie the 300, you mean there is actually a real Spartan Kick?

Jack Gene - Hecate with another new submission move, whatever is it, it got Audrie tapping out almost right away. Hecate has just beating Audrie McLaughlin to retain the Heartlands Championship.

Bill Hughes - That is a Pankration shoulder lock, if Audrie didn't tape out Hecate could have easily dislocated Audrie's shoulder or worse, that is not something you want to be in for long.

Jack Gene - So that was what Kronin was talking about when he was on Mat Briefs with Mischa.

[Hecate looks at Audrie as she is handed the Heartlands Belt and extends a hand to Audrie, who bats Hecate's hand away and rolls out of the ring. Hecate gets her hand raised in victory by Luna Pier before climbing the turnbuckle and lifting the Heartlands Title over her head as the fans cheer loudly, blood still pouring down her face.]

After Match Happenings

[Hecate celebrates her victory, holding up the heartlands title with one hand and the bloody Valora bandanna with the other, the Mexican fans cheering in response to the symbol of their hero and champion. While Hecate is busy looking out at the fans, Mo' Bad runs down the entry way and slides into the ring, waiting for Hecate. Hecate finally jumps off the turnbuckle and turns around only to meet the boot of a charging Mo' Bad.  Pulling the dazed Hecate to her feet, Mo' Bad walks her to the center of the ring and locks in the Badmission.]

Jack Gene - Good!Lord! Mo' Bad just attacked Hecate after she fought in this brutal title defense. He is choking her out with his Badmission submission hold.

Bill Hughes - Not choking her out, he has choked her out.

[Mo' Bad stands over the unconcious Hecate and points to the Valora T-shirt he is wearing, yelling at Hecate.]

Mo' Bad - You can't have her, she is mine! Do you hear me, she is mine! all Mine!

[Security finally gets out there and physically takes Mo' Bad to the back while the Medical Staff attend to Hecate and finally get her back stage for medical help.]

El Dia '09 Buildup: Adam Pyre vs. Scott Vyper

Adam Pyre vs. Scott Vyper

Written by: Adam Pyre

[The Bosque de Chapultepec crowd is abuzz as we come in to an overhead shot of the arena. The shot fades into a pan of the tron as the match bell rings.]

Wayne Inkster - Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time for our Last Man Standing Match!

[The crowd goes into a small frenzy as "Machine Gun Messiah" by Sybreed strikes up on the arena speakers. As the menacing song plays, Scott Vyper walks out onto the stage with a rather worn baseball bat. Scott's eyes are cold, his brow is furrowed, and he seems to almost be completely unaware of the crowd. He glances out at the sea of people once or twice, but for the most part he keeps his eyes focused on the ring. He begins walking down the ramp slowly and solemnly.]

Wayne Inkster - Introducing first, weighing in at Two Hundred Forty Eight pounds, from Chicago, Illinois, SCOTTTTT VYPER!!!

[Vyper stops in front of the ring and looks down at his bat, shaking it in his right hand as if measuring its worth. He slides the bat into the ring as he climbs up onto the apron and through the ropes. He picks the bat back up and locks his eyes on the stage.]

Jack Gene - Vyper sure looks intense tonight, I haven't seen him like this in a long time.

Bill Hughes - I don't know what he's pissed about, Jade isn't exactly hanging around his arm anymore. Did you see him with that shrink? I don't think Vyper should be worrying about Jade taking his spot, because it's pretty clear she did that a long time ago.

["Freak" by Silverchair begins to play as Adam Pyre walks casually out onto the stage. He seems nearly opposite of Vyper, wearing his usual grin and pandering a bit to the fans. The fans give him a bit of a mixed reaction, knowing for one that he's an evil bastard, but for two that he's going to do something crazy in this match. Pyre soaks it in regardless of the reaction and points down at Vyper in the ring, raising an eyebrow and licking his teeth as he does so. Finally after a bit of taunting, Pyre walks down the aisle.]

Wayne Inkster - And his opponent, weighing in at Two Hundred Twenty Two pounds, from Long Beach, California, ADAM PYYYRE!!!

[Pyre stops short in front of the ring and taunts Vyper a little more, which changes his mixed reaction to firm boos. Pyre takes his time and deliberately stays out of the ring, forcing Scott and the ref to wait for him.]

Jack Gene - And Pyre immediately starting things out with the mind games. Scott wants to tear Pyre apart limb from limb, but he's being forced to wait until the match bell rings.

Bill Hughes - That's ingenious on Pyre's part. Pyre knows these type of matches inside and out, and he knows that he's going to be taking a beating. Why rush?

Jack Gene - Vyper was a former death match connoisseur himself back in his heyday.

Bill Hughes - Yeah but let's break that down. His 'heyday' Jack. Vyper isn't exactly over the hill, but his death match days are pretty clearly well behind him. He needs to grab a box of Kleenex and get out of the ring, and Adam Pyre is gonna be the cashier.

Jack Gene - That doesn't even make any sense.

[Pyre pulls himself up to a knee on the apron, then points Scott out to the ref. Vyper meanwhile has his bat ready to hit a homer with Pyre's head. Pyre refuses to get into the ring until Vyper relinquishes the bat.]

Jack Gene - Oh come on! This is a Last Man Standing match! Pyre making the argument that Vyper's bat is illegal is just about as crazy as Sarah Palin.

Bill Hughes - Sarah Palin doing what?

Jack Gene - No, that's it, just Sarah Palin, she's crazy.

Bill Hughes - Whoa now, looks like Jack is a comedic firecracker tonight… Sarah Palin was relevant like a year ago…

Jack Gene - yeah, but she's still crazy.

Bill Hughes - True.

[The ref is now trying to get Vyper to give him the bat, while Pyre stands up on the apron. Scott shrugs the ref of and charges at Pyre, swinging the bat with tremendous force. Pyre just barely manages to jump off of the apron, causing Vyper to get nothing but air. Pyre vehemently gestures at the ref to stop this ridiculousness.]

Jack Gene - Wow, Vyper nearly took Pyre's head off his shoulders!

Bill Hughes - Just further proof that Vyper needs to get rid of that bat! At least let Pyre in the ring long enough to start the match!

[The ref holds Vyper back again as Pyre climbs back into the ring. Pyre slowly crawls through the ropes as Vyper apprehensively watches him enter, but this time chooses to simply stand in place. The ref makes sure that both competitors understand the rules as he brings them to the center of the ring. Vyper looks down his nose at Pyre, while Pyre looks under his brow at Vyper. The ref stands out of the way and rings the bell. Vyper again doesn’t hesitate and charges at Pyre, swinging the bat like a madman.]

Jack Gene - Vyper has been frothing at the bit to get his revenge on Pyre, and now he can do it with no other ruling than to keep Pyre down for a ten count!

[Pyre ducks the swinging bat and goes for a roundhouse kick to Vyper's midsection, but vyper catches it under an arm and smashes the bat into Pyre's knee.]

Bill Hughes - I know I'm on Pyre's side tonight, but jeez what a shot! This match could be already over!

[Pyre falls to the mat gripping his leg and tries to hurriedly crawl away. Vyper stands on Pyre's ankle and prepares for another bat shot to Pyre's knee, but Pyre manages to wiggle his leg free and trips Scott up in the process. Pyre staggers to his feet using the ropes to pull himself up.]

Jack Gene - It looks like Vyper's not going to get a win that easily, Pyre's still got a bit of fight in him.

[Pyre wiggles his leg a bit when after he stands up, and with a very slight limp begins walking over to Vyper, who is himself already recovering from the trip up and getting to his feet. Vyper and pyre lock up with a collar and elbow. Vyper gains control with a side headlock, Pyre pushes Vyper into the ropes and tries to irish whip Vyper into releasing the hold, but Vyper stays clamped on and forces Pyre to a knee.]

Jack Gene - and the match has actually broken down into a standard wrestling match! I never thought I'd see this match start out quite like this.

Bill Hughes - Vyper needs to keep on Pyre's knee. I sort of get the headlock slowing Pyre down, maybe he can pass Pyre out, but honestly when was the last time someone passed out to a headlock? 1953?

[Pyre grabs Vyper around the waist and gets back up to his feet, pushing Vyper upwards. Pyre uses the slow momentum buildup to try, with a decent amount of effort, to back suplex Vyper out of the hold. Pyre lands the back suplex but Vyper still won't let go of the headlock.]

Jack Gene - Vyper is locked on like a leech there!

Bill Hughes - Well, maybe Vyper will bring back the headlock in 2009.

[Vyper begins hammering Pyre's forehead with fists. Pyre's head is turning red from lack of air and blood to his brain. Vyper gets back to his feet, pulling Pyre with him, he then runs at the nearest corner and drives Pyre's head straight into the top turnbuckle, finally letting go of Pyre's head. Pyre rolls around on the mat gripping his head as Vyper walks back over to his bat.]

Jack Gene - Pyre is not looking good here in the opening minutes of this Last Man Standing match.

Bill Hughes - I'm starting to think that I backed the wrong horse here.

Jack Gene - Well Vyper is a WMW Hall of Famer and GLC Champion. I hate to say it, but much like was said on the Shank Show, Pyre hasn't really done diddly squat in WMW as far as accolades go.

Bill Hughes - Yeah but Pyre's a freaking crazy maniac. That apparently is all that matters to him.

[Vyper picks up his bat and walks back over to the fallen Pyre and raises his bat in the air, smashing it against Pyre's spine. Vyper isn't satisfied with one bat shot to the back and hammers Pyre again and again and again. Pyre rolls out to the floor in a desperate attempt to get away from the pain, but still lies somewhat motionless on the ground outside. The ref thinks he's pretty much done, and begins the count.]

1…

Jack Gene - I can't believe (2...) that we're already seeing a ten count (3…) start this early in the match. Vyper really came in with a vicious game plan (4…) and he's executed it perfectly so far.

[Pyre begins to stir (5…) and grabs the apron for leverage as he pulls himself up off the ground. The ref stops the count as Pyre gets to his feet, but he's not there for long as Vyper suddenly drives him into the barricade with a baseball slide. Vyper gets out of the ring now and picks Pyre up, dropping him onto the barricade by the midsection. Vyper begins screaming in Pyre's face, daring Pyre to get back up.]

Jack Gene - I haven't seen Vyper this intense in a long time. He really is looking to hurt Pyre tonight.

Bill Hughes - You've already said both of those things you repetitive bastard.

Jack Gene - Well, I mean just look at him! I'm in awe that this match has become so one sided!

[Pyre starts to get back up again as Vyper stands back, getting ready to charge Pyre again as soon as he gets to his feet. Pyre stands up and Vyper runs at him, but Pyre quickly moves out of the way and shoves Vyper in the back as he runs by, shoving him into the steel steps. Vyper hits the steps at the knees and flips over them aggressively.]

Jack Gene - This may be Pyre's opportunity to strike here.

[Pyre stumbles over to the steps and struggles to pick up the top set of steps. Pyre decides to charge this time, holding the steel steps like a battering ram, and sideswipes Vyper as he gets back to his feet.]

Bill Hughes - HECK YES! That's the sick bastard we all know and love!

[Pyre drops the steel steps right after they collide with Scott's skull. He turns back to Scott with a sick grin and runs at him, leaping in the air and driving his feet into Vyper's chest and sternum with a doublestomp.]

Jack Gene - Holy crap! Pyre might have broken a few of Vyper's ribs!

Bill Hughes - That’s freaking right he did!

[The ref, after wincing at the doublestomp, begins to count.]

1…

Jack Gene - I can't imagine how (2…) Vyper is going to get up after that doublestomp. (3…) I know Pyre's been taking most of the damage so far, (4…) but even still that last shot looked devastating!

[Vyper rolls over on his stomach and pushes himself off the ground. (5…) He gets to a knee, and then a foot as the ref stops the count. Pyre immediately nails him with a spinning backfist.]

Jack Gene - Pyre calls that The Right Hand of Doom, and with force like that I can see why.

[Vyper spins in place and just barely manages to keep himself up by stumbling over to the barricade and leaning on it. Pyre's grin has returned as he methodically stalks Vyper. He grabs Vyper by the hair and drags him over to the ring post, ramming his head into it. Vyper falls to his back, but instinctively starts to sit up just a little bit, preventing a count. Pyre meanwhile starts to dig under the ring for weapons.]

Bill Hughes - See Jack, and you were so ready to count Pyre out of this match. He's firing on all cylinders now!

[Pyre pulls out a table, a couple steel chairs, and a trash can filled with a bunch more goodies. Pyre grabs a chair and holds its top edge just over Vyper's throat, jamming it in with a quick strike.]

Jack Gene - Good god!

[Pyre throws down the chair and begins setting up the table as Vyper rolls over onto his stomach, coughing and retching. Pyre finishes setting up the table and pulls Vyper up again by the hair, dragging him over to the table. After a few quick shots to Vyper's forehead, Pyre lays him across the table and grabs one of the chairs. He slides into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. Pyre slaps the chair with his free hand a few times before he turns his back to Vyper and jumps off the turnbuckle for a corkscrew moonsault legdrop. As Pyre unfolds his legs for the legdrop he slides the chair under them a la an Arabian Facebuster, but Vyper just manages to move at the last second and Pyre drives himself through the table instead.]

Jack Gene - Holy hell! What a spectacular turn of events! Pyre went for The Killing Joke, formerly the Killing Curse, but Vyper was able to move at the last second!

Bill Hughes - Whether he hits the move or not, and whether you love or hate him, that move is beautiful every time I see it.

[Vyper crawls to the apron and pulls himself to his feet as Pyre lays motionless in the wreckage. The ref begins the count as Vyper begins to rummage through the weapons that Pyre brought out.]

1…

Jack Gene - Pyre just very well may have taken himself out (2...) with that move. I can't believe that Vyper was able to move out of the way (3…) right at the last second.

[Vyper has a Singapore cane that he pulled from the trash can. (4…) He holds it ready as the ref continues the count.]

5…

Bill Hughes - I can't believe this match is going to end because (6…) Pyre took himself out! It's just not fair dammit! (7…)

[Pyre starts to push himself up off the ground and surprisingly is able to get to a foot before the ref reaches eight. Pyre rubs his face and winces as he gets up to a full standing position. He turns around to get a Singapore cane shot right across his forehead which sends him back to the floor.]

Bill Hughes - Well he may have gotten a cane for his troubles, but thank god that Pyre's back in this!

[Scott picks up Pyre by the Mohawk and rolls him into the ring. He leaves Pyre's head exposed off of the apron though, backs up a few steps, and then runs at Pyre and delivers another hard shot to Pyre's forehead with the cane. Two decently deep gashes are left on Pyre's forehead from the cane.]

Jack Gene - And Vyper has busted Pyre wide open!

Bill Hughes - That could mean Vyper's downfall though, Pyre seems to almost become a berserker at the sight of his own blood.

Jack Gene - that is true, but I don't think Pyre's going to be seeing his blood for quite a while.

[Vyper climbs into the ring with a chair and sets it up in the middle of the ring. He pulls Pyre all the way into the ring by his ankles and then picks him up and puts him in powerbomb position. He picks Pyre up and drives him into the chair with a powerbomb supplied with as much power as he could muster. Pyre hit the chair with such force that he actually bounced back up and over the chair, falling on his stomach.]

Jack Gene - I don't like to use foul language, but HOLY HEAVENS!!!

Bill Hughes - JESUS CHRIST!! I can't believe that Pyre flipped over that chair! His back has got to be snapped in two!

[The ref starts the count.]

1…

Jack Gene - Pyre certainly doesn't look like he's in a good way here. (2…) He's got to be suffering some internal injuries after that powerbomb (3…).

Bill Hughes - I hate to say it but I think Pyre is done after that one (5…). Pyre is a crazy bastard, but Vyper just wanted to (6…) break Pyre tonight, and I think he's succeeded. (7…)

8…

[Pyre again pushes himself up, this time however he can only get up to his knees without using the ropes for leverage. Pyre gets to his feet just before the ref is ready to count to nine. Vyper looks furious and kicks Pyre in the gut. He hooks both of Pyre's arms behind his back and throws him into the mangled chair with a Double Underhook Suplex.]

Jack Gene - How the hell can Pyre keep getting up? I know he's used to immense amounts of pain, but that powerbomb should have killed him!

Bill Hughes - Pyre's even gone past my expectations this time! But even still Vyper is right back on him, not giving him a moments breath with that double underhook. If that powerbomb didn't kill Pyre, that suplex had to have done the deed.

[Vyper doesn't let the ref start the count yet though, and wraps Pyre's legs around his own in a sharpshooter position. He sits on Pyre's back, locking in the hold.]

Jack Gene - The Venomlock! I don't believe it! The Venomlock in a Last Man Standing match!

[Pyre immediately begins to tap as soon as the pressure is applied, but there's no submission wins for this match.]

Bill Hughes - This is a stupid move by Vyper. He can't win the match by making Pyre tap out.

Jack Gene - But he can wear Pyre down to the point where he can't stand up anymore. And to be honest, I don't think Vyper cares about winning anymore. He just wants to leave Pyre as broken as possible.

[Vyper finally lets go of the hold and begins climbing the turnbuckle.]

Bill Hughes - What the hell is he doing now?? Let the ref count dammit!

[Vyper leaps off the top and goes for an elbow drop to Pyre's back, but Pyre rolls out of the way and onto his feet. Vyper takes the brunt of the hit but gets up quickly too, just in time to get a Six Minute Miracle right to the chin.]

Jack Gene - The Six Minute Miracle out of nowhere!

Bill Hughes - Vyper is DONE!

[Vyper looks like he just got hit with a Mack truck as he lies on the mat, completely motionless. The ref starts the count.]

1…

Jack Gene - I can't see how Vyper could get up after that (2…) that was a straight kick to the face. Pyre doesn't look too much better (3…) and I bet he's praying that Vyper stays down.

Bill Hughes - Pyre doesn't need the power of prayer (4…) to win, all he needs is that one swift kick and the match is done. (5…)

6…

[Vyper starts to stir and begins to slowly sit up (7…). Pyre had a smile on his face but it seems to have faded. (8…)]

Bill Hughes - You gotta be kidding me! He nailed him with a Six Minute FREAKING Miracle! (9…)

[Vyper is back up to his feet, leaning heavily on the ropes but still on his feet. Pyre looks stunned as he stares across the ring at Vyper, who stares just as hard back.]

Jack Gene - and I gotta believe that this match now heavily favors Scott Vyper. Pyre just delivered his finishing move and Vyper is STILL on his feet!

[Vyper staggers out to the middle of the ring, his hair matted, his face covered in sweat and flecks of Pyre's blood. Once he gets to the middle, slightly broken and looking half-ready to collapse, he gestures to Pyre to 'come on'.]

Bill Hughes - I don't believe it. This crazy bastard is asking for more!

[Pyre looks a bit stunned still, but snaps out of it and smiles. He walks up to Vyper, just as staggered and broken and gets up in his face. Suddenly, he slaps Scott right in the face. Scott reels back a bit and spins around, holding his face. His breath gets harder as he begins to formulate what just happened. His muscles tense as he spins around to pop Pyre in the face, but Pyre unloads with a spear to Vyper's midsection.]

Bill Hughes - BOOOOM!!!!!! THAT'S IT! THAT'S GOTTA BE IT!

Jack Gene - Vyper taken out with The Boom from Pyre! I rarely agree with my broadcast partner, but I have to question what exactly Scott Vyper has left?

[The ref begins to count but Pyre gets in his face, grabbing him by the shirt and shoving him down to the ground.]

Bill Hughes - WHAT THE HELL PYRE?! Don't be dumb like Scott!

Pyre looks at the fallen Vyper lying motionless on the mat. Anger and frustration are prevalent on his face. Something catches his eye though, and it causes his smile to return once again. It's the bat Vyper brought with him. Pyre walks over to it and picks it up out of the corner. He brandishes it to the crowd, who begin to heavily boo.

Jack Gene - I have to imagine that Pyre has some sick plans for that bat…

[Pyre saunters over to the fallen Scott and rolls him over with a poke of his toe. Pyre points at Vyper's throat with the bat as the crowd goes into a frenzy of boos. Pyre does a mock Hulk Hogan "I Can't Hear You" taunt. As the crowd tries to boo loud enough to describe the audacity of Pyre's intentions.]

Jack Gene - I don't think this is looking good for Vyper…

Bill Hughes - DO IT PYRE! DO IT!

[Pyre slowly lifts the bat over his head, his grin as wide as it's ever been. He swings downward with all his might, but there's some resistance… Vyper got a hand up, and is clutching the bat very aggressively.]

Jack Gene - Vyper caught the bat! Vyper caught the bat!

[Vyper staggers to his feet once again as Pyre looks stunned. Vyper tears the bat away from Pyre's grip and drives it into his midsection. Pyre falls to his knees and gasps for air as the crowd goes nuts for Vyper. Vyper does the mock Hogan taunt now and winds up the bat like Babe Ruth. He does a Happy Gilmore skip and cracks the bat against Pyre's head with such force that the bat splits in twain and splinters go flying everywhere.]

Bill Hughes - JESUS H. CHRIST!!!!

[Scott holds up a hand over his brow looking at Pyre's imaginary head go flying out of "the park." He then does a small celebratory lap across the ring.]

Jack Gene - I believe that was a grand slam. And now Vyper doing a celebratory lap around "the bases" as it were.

[The ref starts the count.]

1…

2…

Jack Gene - Pyre is freaking out like a light. There's no way he's getting up from that (3…).

Bill Hughes - Come on Pyre, it was only a glancing blow! (4…)

[Pyre aggressively slams a hand on the mat (5…). Then he slams his other hand as well. (6…) With a guttural yell-- actually more like a roar, He pushes himself off of the mat and to his knees. (7…) Blood is gushing down his face now as he grabs the nearest rope and hoists himself to a foot. Vyper charges him but Pyre drop toe holds him into the ropes. Pyre staggers across the ring and rebounds off the opposite ropes. He leaps over Vyper and the ropes and comes down to drive Vyper's head into the middle rope with a cutter, but Vyper moves just at the last second and Pyre crashes to the ground outside with nothing to show for it.]

Jack Gene - How are either of these men still standing?? Let alone how does Pyre have the energy to attempt a Psycho Cutter??

Bill Hughes - Pyre went for it all right there! Damn you Scott Vyper! You robbed us of a beautiful move!

[Vyper gets out of the ring and begins to tear apart the announce table as Jack and Bill get out of the way. He picks Pyre up and puts him in a powerbomb position, hooking both of Pyre's arms behind his back. He lifts Pyre up and drives him through the announce table with a Double Underhook Powerbomb.]

Jack Gene - The Blu-Ray DVD!

Bill Hughes - Bye bye Pyre…

[The ref starts the count.]

1…

2…

Jack Gene - For the love of god stay down Pyre! (3...)I don't know what either of you have left to put the other away! (4…)

Bill Hughes - Get up Pyre! You've taken worse than that in this match (5…)

[Pyre stirs and starts clawing at the barricade behind the announce table. (6…) He grabs the top of the barricade and pulls himself up (7…) he scrambles with his legs, who seem to not want to cooperate (8…) finally he gets a bit of a foothold right as the ref counts (9…).]

Jack Gene - What have these guys got left?? What will it take to keep the other man down!

[Vyper looks completely baffled, a handful of hair in each hand. Pyre looks nearly completely drained but still has enough energy to cough out a subtle laugh. Scott flips and demands Pyre back in the ring. Pyre, surprisingly obliges and runs into the ring, sliding across the mat. He gets to his feet and both men go toe to toe. Vyper delivers a right to Pyre. Pyre hits Vyper with a right right back. Vyper hits another right on Pyre, Pyre hits another right as well on Vyper. Vyper gets one more shot on Pyre, Pyre goes for another right, but Vyper ducks and grabs Pyre's arm at the same time, lifting him up for a Vyper Driver. Pyre counters with a DDT onto Vyper's broken chair, which splits Vyper open as well.]

Jack Gene - And now Vyper is busted open!

[Vyper staggers around on his feet for a bit before Pyre, with a little bit of struggle, lifts Vyper up onto his shoulders.]

Jack Gene - I don't believe it! Pyre has Vyper on his shoulders now! Is he gonna drive Vyper's head into the chair Like Vyper did to him??

[Pyre bends down as low as he can, and with an immense effort shucks Vyper off his shoulders. As Vyper falls, Pyre nails him in the face with a roundhouse kick.]

Bill Hughes - THE GO INSANE!!! THE GO INSANE!!! PYRE JUST NAILED VYPER WITH THE GO INSANE!!!

[Pyre slumps down into the corner in a seated position as soon as he hits the kick. The ref starts the count.]

1…

2…

Wayne Inkster - Your Winner, ADAM PYYYRE!!!!

Jack Gene - I can not believe it. After all the hell both of these men put each other through, Pyre stands tall and true as he promised, is the Last Man Standing.

Bill Hughes - I never doubted him for a second Jack.

[Pyre smiles and raises a hand in victory as the camera changes to Vyper's unconscious face, now starting to drip with fresh blood.]

El Dia '09 Buildup: Shoot Championship

Jack Reynolds vs. Amariie

Written by: Garvin

[The shot opens up inside the ring as Wayne Inkster stands at attention.]

Wayne Inkster - The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Shoot Championship!

[The crowd pops. Just then, "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence blasts from the PA as Amariie makes her way down to the ring.]

Wayne Inkster - Introducing first, hailing from Romania, and coming into tonight's contest at a height of 5'6" and weighing 152lbs, she is a member of the Daughters of Darkness...she is AMARIIE!!!

[Amariie struts her way down to ringside almost as if she was entering a high society party somewhere. Pausing on the apron, she looks across the ring and to the crowd before taking a hold of the top rope and spring boarding over into the ring where she moves to her corner and listens as John Law goes over the match rules and instructions with her.]

Jack Gene - Amariie looks very confident.

Bill Hughes - And why wouldn't she? She beat out every single person in that tournament. She's on top of her game. This is the best we've seen of her since she came to WMW over a year ago.

["The Dance" from The Life Aquatic soundtrack blasts from the PA as the crowd pops. Jack Reynolds appears at the top of the ramp and stops to take one last moment of silence before walking to the ring.]

Wayne Inkster - Her opponent… standing 5’9” and weighing 175 pounds … he hails from Parma, Ohio … he is JAAAAACK REEYYYNNOOOOLLLDS!!!

[Jack Reynolds makes his way down to the ring, getting a loud pop and slapping hands with fans at ringside.]

Jack Gene – This crowd is on their feet here for Jack Reynolds. But, this is the single day that he has worked about 3 years to get to. Tonight, he plans on going down in history as one of the few who have won the Shoot Championship.

Bill Hughes - He'll go down in history, all right. But, as the man who lost to Amariie at El Dia '09.

[Reynolds slides into the ring. He walks over to the side of the ring and looks out into the crowd as they cheer his name. He turns back to the center of the ring and John Law calls them together. The music fades. He explains the rules. Jack Reynolds extends his hand out to Amariie and they shake hands.]

Jack Gene - And, Jack Reynolds and Amariie shake hands before this match starts. This shows the respect that both have for one another. Referee Law is calling for the bell... and here we go! Shoot Championship match! Jack Reynolds vs. Amariie Maerthos!

[They circle one another and they lock up. They struggle to push the other back, but isntead push eachother away. Amariie raises her hands, as if showing she was the stronger of the two, but Jack loosens his shoulders a bit before circling her once again. They go to lock up once again, but she drops to her knees and flips him over with a fireman's carry. She tries for an armbar, but Reynolds catches her with leg scissor head lock. She struggles to get free, but he tightens his knees together. She kips out of it, turns around and looks down at him, giving him a few choice words.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie getting the better of Jack Reynolds. But, she's allowing him to get up.

[She walks back away from the center of the ring as Jack stands up.]

Jack Gene - This crowd still hasn't sat down yet. Amariie and Reynolds circle one another again.

[They meet in the center of the ring again, and lock up. Reynolds moves behind her and wraps a waist lock around her. He lifts her up and slams her to the mat with a takeover. She tries to escape, but he keeps a hold of the waist lock. She moves to a seating position, trying to break out of the hold, but he continues to push her forward. She falls over to her stomach as Jack starts to try and lift her up. She dives forward, and pulls Reynolds to the ropes. Referee John Law breaks it up.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie gets to the ropes.

Bill Hughes - Looks like Jack was going to try and pull her back to the center of the ring, but she was having none of that.

[Law pushes Reynolds away from the ropes as Amariie pulls herself up. She has a few choice words for Reynolds as Reynolds patiently waits for the ref to allow the match to continue.]

Jack Gene - Law breaks it up, and looks like he's taking this back to the center of the ring.

[Law steps out of the way and Reynolds and Amariie begin to once again circle one another. They lock up. This time, Amariie gets behind him with a waistlock, and lifts him up. She slams him down with the takeover.]

Bill Hughes - Amariie with a big time slam on Jack Reynolds!

[He's able to get to his feet quickly and begins to push back against her, trying to pry apart her hands. He isn't able to, so instead pushes her back into the corner. John Law steps in to break it up. She lets go of the lock, and Reynolds turns out of the corner. Just as he does, she swings and connects with an open-handed slap to the face.]

Jack Gene - Oof! She just slapped the taste out of his mouth! And Reynolds doesn't look too happy about that one.

[Reynolds starts to go towards her, but John Law steps in. She ducks through the ropes to avoid any contact. Reynolds backs away and shakes his head as he moves back towards the center of the ring.]

Jack Gene - And the mind games begin, as Amariie toys with Reynolds in the corner. He's got to keep his cool here.

[Law tells Amariie to get out of the corner and get back into this match. She obliges, with a smirk on her face. She heads back to the center, where they begin to circle eachother once more. They lock up. She grabs a hold of his arm and swings behind him, locking on a hammerlock. He quickly reverses it. She tries to get out of it with a back elbow, but Reynolds is able to dodge it. She then turns it into a drop toe hold and immediately hops over him and locks on a side headlock.]

Jack Gene - And again, Amariie showing some great technical work here, as she puts on a headlock. Reynolds wanted this to be a good, ol' fashioned wrestling match and that's exactly what he's getting here.

[Reynolds tries to push out of it, but she pulls back on his head. He somehow pushes her forward, and escapes the hold by rolling out of it. He immediately locks on a hammerlock, and then drops a knee to her back and arm putting her into major discomfort. He drops another knee to the back and arm as she struggles to get off of the mat. He pulls her up by the arm and snaps it down. He brings her forward quickly and slams her in the shoulder with his own. He then goes for an arm wringer, but she rolls out through it, and kips up, causing her to get the advantage on the arm and she reverses it with an arm ringer of her own.]

Bill Hughes - I'll tell you what. Amariie is looking hella sweet out here against Jack Reynolds. He claims to be a great wrestler, but I think she's the better fighter here tonight.

Jack Gene - Well, we're still real early in this match.

[Reynolds tries to walk away, but she grabs him by the back of the head and throws him down to the mat. She then locks on a wrist lock, as Reynolds tries to get off of his back.]

Jack Gene - Amariie applying the pressure to his wrist. She's really got him in a predicament here, oof!

[She drops a boot to his forehead and continues to twist the wrist.]

Jack Gene - I would not have liked to been on the receiving end of that boot. Wow.

[She tries to drop another boot, but he blocks it, and immediately kips up. With his arm still locked in, he twists out of it, and reverses it, applying an another arm ringer.]

Jack Gene - And Jack Reynolds on the advantage! He reversed it and now it's Amariie trying to escape his submission attempt.

[He pushes her back into the corner and goes for an irish whip, but she reverses it, sending him flying across the ring. She charges closely behind him. As he reaches the corner, he leaps towards it and hits an up and over, sending her crashing into the corner. As she bounces back, he rolls her up. John Law jumps into position and starts to count. 1... 2... she kicks out.]

Jack Gene - And Jack Reynolds almost with a 3 count there. And, both are back on their feet.

[Both jump up to their feet. She charges him, but he takes her down with an arm drag and locks on an arm lock.]

Jack Gene - And once again, this match is taken back to the mat. Jack Reynolds has her in that arm lock, and Amariie struggling to break free, but he's got a pretty good grip on her.

[She tries to push up off of her back, but he forces her back down. She grabs him by the hair, but Law quickly stops it.]

Bill Hughes - Well, both of these fighters have approached this match very cautiously. They are remaining close to one another, and it's almost as if they are just playing cat and mouse, here.

[She tries to pull away, reaching with her foot to the ropes, but Reynolds keep a strong grip on her. She turns into the hold, getting to her knees. Reynolds stands up to regain leverage. She stands up and he immediately gets behind her and turns it into a hammerlock.]

Jack Gene - Hammerlock by Jack Reynolds.

[She leans back into him and then catches him with an elbow out of nowhere. It jars him causing him to lose grip and he slumps over holding his jaw. She charges the ropes and bounces off. As she runs back, she catches him with a shoulder block sending him crashing to the mat. She looks down at him. She runs back towards the ropes and bounces off. Just as she turns, Reynolds rolls to his stomach and dives at her feet causing her to jump over him. She continues running and bounces off the opposite set of ring ropes. As she comes back, Reynolds pops up and leaps over her, causing her to miss. She continues to run and bounces off of the ropes again. This time, Reynolds is there to meet her and flips her over with a hip toss.]

Jack Gene - And down goes Amariie with a hip toss.

Bill Hughes - Yeah, but Jack Reynolds, still feeling the effects of that elbow earlier.

[Reynolds continues to hold his jaw. Amariie pulls herself up on the ropes, seemingly a bit out of it. Reynolds sees this and charges. He connects with a clothesline that sends her up and over the top rope and out to the floor.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie is out onto the floor.

[On the outside, Amariie stands up and begins to slowly walk towards the entrance way, looking towards the back. In the ring, Reynolds gets the crowd to start clapping. The crowd is on their feet. (...1) John Law begins to count.]

Jack Gene - (...2) These fans are on their feet, Bill. And, (...3) Jack Reynolds waits on the inside. You can see he wants this match to continue (...4), but Amariie - playing it cool. Taking this opportunity to rethink her approach here. (...5)

[Reynolds rolls out of the ring and quickly walks over to Amariie who has her back to the ring. (...6) He spins her around and rolls her back into the ring. He slides in after her.]

Jack Gene - And he sends her back into the ring. Wait... what? She's asking for a time out?

[She sits on her knees and tells Jack to wait. Jack looks around with a smile and backs away, allowing her an opportunity to stand back up.]

Bill Hughes - Stupid move by Jack Reynolds, letting Amariie up. He should have made her pay there. This is why Jack Reynolds isn't successful. Because, he doesn't take advantage of situations. He lets everyone off easy.

[She stands up and immediately gets into his face. He pushes her away, but she pushes him back, almost sending him stumbling against the ropes. He stands back up and she slaps him across the face, once again yelling at him. He turns his face, but then comes back with a slap of his own which sends her spinning. He dives at her knees and rolls her up. Law gets into position and starts the count.]

Jack Gene - Here's the count! 1! ...2! ... and she kicks out. 2-count on Amariie.

[He quickly gets behind her and goes for the Midwest Blackout, but she slips out of it and takes him over with a monkey flip. He gets back to his feet and she charges with a clothesline, but he ducks it and once again goes for the Midwest Blackout. She holds strong in a standing position and is able to twist out of and get behind Reynolds with a waistlock.]

Bill Hughes - Nice counter there by Amariie!

[She pushes him forward from behind and into the ropes. As they bounce back, she tries to roll him up, but he holds onto the ropes. She hits the mat hard. She bounces back to her feet and charges him but he jumps up and hits a drop kick that sends her back down to the mat. He makes a cover. Law gets into position and counts.

Jack Gene - Reynolds with another pin attempt ...1! ...2! ...no!

[She pushes out and sits up. He immediately locks on a hammer lock.]

Jack Gene - Another close call by Jack Reynolds and Amariie maybe needs another trip to the outside, hey Bill?

Bill Hughes - I don't think it's that. I mean, we dog Reynolds because he's a naive little boy at heart. But, he can wrestle. And it will take a bit more effort than she was probably ready to give to take him out.

[She reaches for his hair, but Reynolds dodges it. He forces her back down down to her back, and tries for an arm bar, but she turns into him. He locks on a modified hammer lock as she stands up. She pushes him back into the ropes. She whips him across the ring. As he bounces off the ropes, she measures him up for something in the center of the ring. She goes for a clothesline, but he ducks it, jumps up - wrapping himself around her shoudlers with a crucifix and pulls her back for a pin. Law gets into position and counts. 1... 2... she kicks out again.]

Jack Gene - My god! And another pin attempt by Reynolds. What does he have to do?

[Reynolds stands up shaking his head. Amariie rolls to her feet and walks to the ropes. Reynolds charges, but she sees him and catches him with a back elbow, causing him to stumble back to the center of the ring. She charges him and he tries for a clothesline, but she ducks and runs through it. She bounces off of the ropes and as soon as she turns, she leaps into the air and hits him with a spinning heel kick, which sends Reynolds down to the mat.]

Bill Hughes - Nice kick, there.

Jack Gene - Reynolds did not block that kick. It hit him hard right on the side of the head.

[She gets back to her feet and begins to drop boots to his back and head. Reynolds tries to roll away, but she continues to pummel him with boots, and sends him to the outside. She follows him and grabs him by the head and neck, pulling him up to his feet. She scoops him up and slams him to the outside floor.]

Jack Gene - Ah, gah! That sounded painful.

Bill Hughes - Have you never been slammed to the ground, man? That was painful.

[(...1) John Law begins to count. She pulls him back up to his feet and rolls him into the ring. (...2) She follows. Reynolds rolls to the center of the ring and tries to pull himself up, but she charges and drives a knee into the side of his head, causing him to fall back down to the mat. She pulls him back up and pushes him into the corner. Reynolds props himself up against the turnbuckles, trying to recapture his breath. She rams a shoulder into his midsection, blocking any chance of him doing so. Law tells her to take it out of the corner. She obliges and sends Reynolds flying across the ring with an Irish whip. She uses all of her strength, and it causes Reynolds to crash against the corner. He falls to his face. She stands up and walks over to him as he just lays there. She drops another boot to the back of his head, causing Reynolds to move away. He gets to his knees and she grabs him by the hair, pulling him up. He tries to push her away, but she rakes him in the eyes. He turns to blindly walk away, holding his eyes in agony. She gets in front of him and lifts him up, slamming his back into her knee wiht a back breaker. She goes for the pin.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie going for the win here! Here's the count ...1! ...2! ...and Reynolds kicks out!

[He rolls to his stomach, trying to crawl away as Amariie stands up. She yells at the ref for not counting fast enough. She pushes past him and lays another boot to Reynolds's back. She then reaches down and locks on a camel clutch. Law looks for a tapout.]

Jack Gene - Amariie looking for a submission. She's trying to win this match how she won against Dess a few weeks back. And, she is just picking Reynolds apart. Law peers in, but Reynolds will not give up.

[Amariie continues to pull back on his neck, and Reynolds somehow powers up to his knees. She holds onto the chin lock, but he is able to ignore the pain and stand up. He slams an elbow to her midsection.]

Jack Gene - Reynolds with a shot of adrenaline! He's trying to get out of this hold and... another huge elbow, but Amariie refuses to let go!

[And another. She lets go as he pulls away. He charges the ropes and bounces off. As he turns back towards Amariie, she dives at his feet causing him to jump over. He runs through it and bounces off the opposite ropes. She pops up and meets him in the center of the ring. She catches him and flips him over with a belly to belly supex. Hey lays out, as if unconscious. She makes the cover, hooking the leg.]

Bill Hughes - Oh, it's got to be over, here.

Jack Gene - Law is in position... here's the count ...1! ...2! ...thrrr-No! He gets a shoulder up.

[He rolls to his knees and Amariie stands up. She walks over to him and lands a huge right hand, which causes him to pop to his feet and spin around. She grabs him from behind and pushes him into the corner. She lands a huge forearm to the back of his head, before spinning him around. He leans again the top turnbuckle. She pulls back and swings landing a huge open handed chop to his chest.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie just putting everything into that chop. You could have heard that halfway across town.

[He tries to walk out of the corner, but she pushes him back in. She goes for an irish whip, but he reverses it sending her flying towards the opposite corner. He tries to quickly follow her in. As she reaches the corner, she jumps up onto the second turnbuckle, then springs off, turning in mid-air and hits him with a flying cross body. She hooks the leg and turns it into a pin. Law gets into position and counts. 1... 2... Reynolds somehow reverses it, rolling her over. He hooks her leg, trying to get the pin for himself. Law gets back into position and counts.

Jack Gene - My god! Jack Reynolds with a pin ...1! ...2! ... No! She kicks out.

[She immediately stands up, turns and dives at him, slamming her forearm into the back of his head.]

Jack Gene - And Amariie out of desperation, just tried and knock out Reynolds. But, you can tell she's getting really tired.

Bill Hughes - Both are. This match is taking it out of both of them.

[Reynolds tries to get to his knees, but she pushes him back down face first into the mat and drives a knee into his spine. She then drives another, and another, almost sadistically. She keeps the point of her knee in his back, and pulls him up by his chin with a modified chin lock, wrenching his back. Law gets into position and looks for a tapout.]

Amariie - Tap out!

[Law continues to look for a tapout, but Reynolds continues to fight it.]

Jack Gene - Amariie just pulling with all of her might, but some how Reynolds is able to fight it. He's got his hand on her palm.

[Reynolds begins to push up out of the hold and gets his legs underneath him. He gets to his knees as Amariie keeps the chinlock on. He gets to his feet, but at that point, she drops the lock, turns him around, scoops him up and goes for a powerslam. Reynolds, somehow, escapes and slides down her back. He locks on a waist lock, but she reverses it. She lifts him up and slams him down with a belly to back suplex. She keeps the bridge and holds the pin. Law gets into position and starts to count.]

Jack Gene - This could be it ...1! ...2! ... and somehow Reynolds pushes out of it.

[Reynolds holds his neck as he lays face first on the mat. Amariie, from a seated position, argues with the ref that it should have been a 3-count. She stands up and walks over to Reynolds. She then drops a leg drop onto the back of his neck, causing Reynolds even more pain. She rolls him over and goes for the pin, but he pushes her off before the one count. She gets to her knees and runs her hands through her hair. She stands up as Reynolds begins to get to his feet. She slams a right hand into the side of his head, which sends him stumbling. She hooks him and tries to go for a suplex, but he blocks it. She punches him in the midsection, and again goes for a suplex. He blocks it, and rolls her up with a small package. Law drops down and begins to count. 1... 2... she kicks out. She quickly gets up and drops another boot to the back of his head. She grabs him by the neck and pulls him up before dropping him to the mat with a legsweep DDT.]

Jack Gene - Jesus! What a DDT!

Bill Hughes - It's got to be over now. There's no way he can kick out of this.

Jack Gene - She goes for the pin. 1! ...2! ...Reynolds kicks out.

[The crowd pops.]

Bill Hughes - How? How did he kick out of that?

[Amariie stands up and once again yells at the ref. She pushes past him and walks to the turnbuckle. She climbs up as Reynolds continues to lay flat on his back, holding his head in pain. She turns and measures him up.]

Jack Gene - Looks like Amariie is going for it all here.

[She jumps off, going for a flying elbow drop, but Reynolds moves out of the way, causing her to hit the mat hard with her arm.]

Jack Gene - No! He moved out of the way! Oh my!

[She holds her arm in pain as the crowd pops. "Jack" chants begin to shower the ring as both fighters lay on the mat. John Law checks on both of them before starting the 10-count. (...1)]

Jack Gene - Both fighters are down! (...2) And, Amariie just opened herself up there. If Reynolds can just get up and take advantage. (...3) You got to think, either a pin here, or even trying for an arm submission on that now, bum shoulder of hers. (...4)

Bill Hughes - Yeah, but as anyone could have hoped for, Amariie's going to get up first. (...5)

[Amariie is the first to her feet. She pulls up Reynolds, but Reynolds immediately gets behind her and lifts her up, before hitting her with an atomic drop.]

Bill Hughes - Whoa! You can do that to a chick?

[He bounces off the ropes and takes her down with a clothesline. She pops back up and he pushes her into the ropes. He whips her across the ring. She bounces off and as she reaches the center of the ring, he connects with a fist to her midsection. He then hits a running bulldog. She slams face first into the mat. He rolls her over and goes for a pin. Law gets into position and counts.]

Jack Gene - Jack Reynolds with a pin ...1! ...2!

Crowd - No!

Jack Gene - Oh! And Amariie gets her shoulder up!

[Reynolds stands up and pleads with the ref that it was a 3-count, but Law disagrees. Amariie gets to her knees and crawls into the corner.]

Jack Gene - And now Jack Reynolds is unsure if this match will ever end. He can't believe she kicked out of that.

[She pulls herself up and Reynolds walks over to her. She asks him to wait.]

Jack Gene - And again, Amariie asking for a timeout, but there are no timeouts in wrestling.

Bill Hughes - I bet Reynolds will be dumb enough to give it to her again.

[Out of nowhere, she goes for a kick, but Reynolds catches it. She jumps up, trying for an enziguri and connects.]

Jack Gene - My god! Enziguri!

[Reynolds falls face first into the mat. She quickly grabs him and locks on a half nelson. She pulls him to his feet and locks on a Half Nelson Sleeper.]

Jack Gene - Eastern Dreams! She's locked on the Eastern Dreams, and I don't even think Reynolds knows where he is after that kick!

Bill Hughes - No, Jack. She's holding him up, and... he's fallen to his knees.

Jack Gene - You can see that the damage she subjected his neck and back to earlier in this match has really paid off. If only she can get him to submit here.

Bill Hughes - He should have submit a long time ago. Amariie is way out of his league. The Shoot Championship will be around her waist here tonight.

Jack Gene - Law is looking for a tapout, but Reynolds isn't responding. Law reaches and lifts up his free arm. It drops. That's one. He lifts up the arm again... it drops. That's two. One more time, and this match is over. He reaches in and...

Bill Hughes - Come on...

Jack Gene - And... it's over.... I can't believe it.

Bill Hughes - It's over! His arm dropped!

(The bell rings)

Jack Gene - Amariie has won the match by submission! My god!

[Law immediately pulls apart Amariie's hands and pulls her off of Reynolds. She springs up to her feet runs to the center of the ring holding her hands up in victory.]

Jack Gene - Amariie has just become the Shoot Champion! My god what a match.

[Wayne Inkster climbs into the ring and hands the title to John Law who takes it over to Amariie. She rips it from his hands and holds it high above her head as she walks over to turnbuckle and climbs up to the second rope to show the fans.]

Wayne Inkster - The winner of this match and the NEW Shoot Champion... Amariie... Maerthos!

[Law checks on Reynolds who lays with his head in his hands. Amariie continues to celebrate with the title showing the crowd, who boo her.]

Jack Gene - Well, she did it. She defeated Jack Reynolds, which is exactly what she said she was going to do.

Bill Hughes - Of course she did. Like I said, Jack Reynolds had no business requesting this match. He had no business starting this tournament. And he had no business stepping into the ring with someone like Amariie. She outclassed him and outfought him.

Jack Gene - Yeah, I have to admit. This has got to be heartbreaking for Reynolds. All his goals, all his dreams, and to come up short like this.

[Reynolds pulls himself up on the rope as Amariie walks over to him. After a few seconds, he extends his hand out to shake hers. They shake hands.]

Jack Gene - And just a great sign of sportsmanship there by Jack Reynolds and Amariie. She shakes his hand, and... Jack Reynolds now holding up her hand in victory. You've got to hand it to these two. This was a hard fought battle that both will remember for a long time.

[He rolls out of the ring and slowly walks away and up the ramp. He turns to look back towards the ring as he reaches the entrance ramp. Amariie stands in the center of the ring and raises the title up. They make eye contact, but Reynolds cuts it short and walks up the ramp.]

Jack Gene - Just heartbreaking, but - Amariie won this match. And she is the new Wrestling Midwest Shoot Champion.

[The shot fades.]

El Dia '09 Buildup: Ace Superior Championship

Valora Prepares For Destiny

[The scene opens up in Valora's locker room.  She is in her luchadore mask and loin cloth Aztec warrioress outfit that she wore earlier in the evening, drinking Gatorade and running a washcloth of cold water over her body.  She grimaces as the rag reaches her ribs and lifts her shirt up showing her heavily bruised ribs. In the background, the crowd can be heard, their excitement for the next match growing.  There's a knock on the door and a few seconds later, a trainer walks in, holding a roll of tape. It's carefully applied to her ribs, causing Valora to grimace and grit her teeth.  The medical trainer looks up at her.]

WMW Trainer - Just say the word Valora... I'll go tell Sault you can't compete and we reschedule the ASC title match for later or something.

[Valora narrows her eyes and grabs the trainer by the collar.]

Valora - Tape me up and get the fuck outta my locker room, esse.  I'm competing tonight.

[The trainer opens his mouth to object then shakes his head and sighs, finishing the tape job and leaving the locker room.  After he's gone, Valora stares at the floor after finishing her third straight bottle of Gatorade and lets out a long sigh:]

Here it is.  The biggest moment in the biggest night of my life is right here.  My countrymen are gathered from all over to watch Ryven and I go to war, surprisingly for the second time tonight.  Gotta say Kronin surprised the hell out of me with that move.  Ryven won the first battle.  He helped Kronin keep the Tag Team titles, but now, comes the big battle.  Everything will change for me in just a few moments.  I will either climb the mountain, prove that I can beat Ryven one on one and become the Ace Superior Champion, or Ryven will claim his second victory over me, show the world that I am not unbeatable and force me back to face Druscilla and Father Nathan for another shot at the title.  I have worked too hard for this moment.  A loss in any other time and place would be acceptable, but not here.  I can not, will not lose to Ryven here in the capital of my country, the home of my ancestors.  I've said if Ryven plans to win, he better kill me.  I suspect only he, I and Hecate know just how accurate and true that statement was, which brings us to the question Ryven must answer:  Is he willing to go that far?  Just how much of a war does Ryven want?  How much blood can he live with on his hands? We're about to find out.  It's time.

[Valora stands up and takes a deep breath as she stands there a moment, lost in her thoughts.]

Valora - This is for my familia, gathered in the stadium, hoping for a bright spot, even if it's watching one of their own win a wrestling match...  This is no longer about you and me, Ryven.  This just got bigger.

[Valora closes her eyes a moment and smiles.]

Valora - And here....we.....GO!

[Valora opens the door and walks out, closing it behind her as the scene fades to black.]

Ryven (c) vs. Valora

Written by: Jade

Jack Gene - And now we come to one of the big matches on tonight's card.  A match that promises to blow the roof off the stadium tonight and the match that the fans here in Mexico have been waiting for.  Azteca vs Ryven for the Ace Superior title in a Mexican Strap match, which to be honest, I've never heard of before.

Bill Hughes - Jesus, Jack.  No wonder they made me the lead guy for so long.  A Mexican strap match is where both people will be tied together at the wrist.  You can win by pinfall or submission but only after you touch all four corners of the ring.  Which means buckle up your seat belt there Jackie... cause this is gonna be a wild ride of a match...  I just wish Valora didn't have to hide that beautiful face of hers behind that dumb mask.

Jack Gene - Well, she earned the right to be a luchadore and that means when she wrestles in Mexico, she must wear the mask she was given or else she loses that privilege.  It's a matter of cultural pride to Azteca and I don't expect that she will dishonor it by not wearing the mask.

Wayne Inkster - Ladies and Gentlemen, El Dia De Los Muertos rolls on and we move to our next match of the evening.  It is for the Ace Superior Championship and will be fought under Mexican Strap match rules!

[The crowd goes wild, cutting Inkster off as the stadium reverberates with the crowd noise.]

Jack Gene - My God.  Azteca wasn't kidding when she said that the fan noise would sound like an earthquake here and she hasn't even been introduced yet!  How do you fight a match like this if you're Ryven, Bill?

Bill Hughes - You can't!  I can't even hear myself think!  I think the Chessmaster of WMW is screwed as all hell here tonight!

Wayne Inkster - Introducing first, the challenger.  Hailing from right here in Mexico City!  (Loud crowd cheers)  She stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs in at 155lbs.  She is a founding member of the Pinnacle of Power and the last Hardcore Champion in WMW history.  Tonight she is the challenger for the WMW Ace Superior Title.  She is  AZTECA!!!!

['Im Everything (Sarita Theme)' begins to play over the speakers and the crowd erupts into truly deafening cheers as Valora comes out driving a low rider.  She drives slowly down the ring waving and pointing to the crowd before finally stopping just short of the ring and setting the hydrolics on the car, causing it to bounce up and down as she hops out onto the hood dancing and waving for members of the crowd to join her, which a number of them do, jumping over the barricades and getting nearby and on top of the car with Valora.  After about a minute of dancing, Valora runs and times her jump with the hydrolic push of the low rider perfectly, launching herself into the air, over the ropes and does a forward roll into the middle of the ring where she stands up and dances in the middle of the ring before looking up and pointing to the sky.]

Bill Hughes - That idiot botched the intro!  It's Valora.  VA-LOR-A!  Idiot.

Jack Gene - Actually, Bill.  Valora was given a luchadore name with her mask, that name was Azteca and Valora requested she be introduced and referred to as Azteca for the night.  Fitting too, as we had heard she had chosen tonight and this city to pay respects to her mentor and teacher, Eddie Guerrero.

Bill Hughes - Well, I refuse to pander to these morons!  They should do things our way... maybe they wouldn't be so poor then.

Jack Gene - I am soo glad my hotel room is nowhere near yours...  One thing is for sure, folks... what you're seeing is not a camera trick.  There is so much noise here, the plaza is literally shaking.  I guess Azteca was not lying when she said the fans would cause an earthquake here tonight.

Bill Hughes - Finally, that pompous ass Ryven is going to get his!  Then we'll have to listen to him whine and cry and bitch about how he was screwed... maybe then I'll finally get to see Valora bust him with a chair... I miss the Hardcore Valora....

Wayne Inkster - And introducing her opponent.  Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio.  He stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs in at 205lbs.  He is the reigning and defending WMW Ace Superior Champion and is also a member of the Pinnacle of Power.  He is RYVEN!!!

['Grounds for Divorce' by Elbow plays over the PA and the deafening cheers turn to deafening boos as Ryven makes his way out and holds up his belt.  He never takes his eyes off Valora as he walks up to the ring and slowly, methodically climbs into the ring and walks right up to Valora, holding out the Ace Superior Title as if to ask Valora if she wants it.  Valora narrows her eyes and nods and Ryven pulls the title back and mouths 'come get it.' bringing more boos from the crowd as Valora narrows her eyes and nods as Ryven hands the belt to Wayne Inkster, who leaves the ring.  Referee Luna Pier comes up and calls for Valora and Ryven to each give her a hand.  Valora gestures to Ryven to choose first.  Ryven smirks and holds up his right hand.  Luna Pier ties the rope to Ryven's right wrist and then ties the other end to Valora's left wrist.]

Jack Gene - And Ryven, the southpaw, choosing to have his end of the 10ft rope tied to his right hand, leaving his left hand free.  But the flip side to that is that Valora...well you know... come to think of it... I don't think it's ever really been covered as to what hand Azteca favors.

Bill Hughes - She's Ambidextrous, Jack... that's why she let Ryven choose.  She can use her right hand or her left hand with equal skill.

Jack Gene - How the hell did you come up with that?

Bill Hughes - I asked her.

Jack Gene - Wait a minute... you spoke with Azteca?  How'd you do that?

Bill Hughes - Well, Valora knows I'm a huge fan and I asked her a few questions.

[Luna Pier checks the rope and nods, explaining the rules to both fighters.  She asks if they're ready and both fighters nod, meanwhile the crowd noise has not died down at all as the stadium is still rocking as the hazy mist from the high temperature and humidity in the air settles over the ring.  Ryven holds out both of his fists and Azteca does the same, touching their fists for a moment before backing up.  Luna Pier calls for the bell and as soon as it rings, both Ryven and Azteca start trading fists in the middle of the ring as the crowd explodes even louder.  They stand there, trading punches and then Ryven goes low and buries a knee into Azteca's gut, before leveling her with a clothesline.  Ryven immediately takes a mounted position and starts raining down punches on Azteca's face.  Azteca covers up and eventually manages to get out from under Ryven and as Ryven tries for another punch, Azteca kicks him in the groin and then plants him face first into the mat with a DDT.  Azteca jumps to her feet and rushes to the turnbuckle, climbing to the top and crouching down.  As Ryven gets to his feet, Azteca leaps off the top and plants both feet into the side of his head, taking him to the mat with a beautiful dropkick.]

Jack Gene - And these two wasted no time getting things started as they traded punches and Ryven started to build up some momentum but Azteca was right there to cut him off with a low kick to the groin and DDT followed by that textbook dropkick from the turnbuckle.

Bill Hughes - Well, I'm telling you, Valora's going to win this match.  Ryven lost the one advantage he had over her tonight when he decided to team with Kronin in the tag team title match.

Jack Gene - And what a big time, close match that was, but in the end Kronin and Ryven were able to come out on top and get the tag team belts, and you have to think that that one big win really gives Ryven A huge mental advantage here in this match.

[In the ring, Azteca jumps to her feet and runs to the corner, jumping up onto the turnbuckle, but as Ryven gets to his knees, he sees the move coming and grips the rope, giving it a hard tug, causing Azteca to fall, straddling the turnbuckle and drop back into the ring in the tree of woe position.  Ryven grins and slides out of the ring, positioning himself so that the rope wraps around Azteca's neck as he grabs her head and pulls back before slamming his left fist right into the back of Azteca's skull once, twice, and a third time.  Ryven then slides back into the ring and backs up a bit, running forward and hitting Azteca in the face with a running baseball slide dropkick, Azteca tumbles out of the tree of woe position and crumples to the mat in the corner.]

Jack Gene - Well, Azteca went to the well too many times there and Ryven was able to use that rope to get her into a bad situation that he was able to take advantage of.  Azteca is to her feet now but is looking kind of woozy from those vicious shots to her head.

Bill Hughes - She'll be alright, she's creating a false sense of security.  She'll make a come back.

[Ryven backs up to the middle of the ring and raises his fists, urging Azteca to do the same.  Azteca narrows her eyes and advances into the middle of the ring.  Ryven moves up a couple of steps and throws a flurry of punches targeting multiple areas all over her body, but Valora's hands seemingly move in time with Ryven as she blocks every blow, keeping her hands straight, angling her blocks so that the blows are deflected down her arm.  Ryven hesitates for a moment, his eyes widening in surprise as he recognizes the style, giving Azteca the opening she needs as she quickly turns and jumps into the air, nailing Ryven with a pele kick, causing the crowd to go wild as Ryven staggers backwards a few steps and falls flat on his face.  Azteca smirks as she hops up on the balls of her feet, ready for Ryven when he gets up.  Ryven charges in and throws a left cross but Azteca blocks the move, grabbing Ryven in back of the head and bending him over as she drives her knee into his gut.  She then drives her knee into Ryven's face twice and hits him with a hammer fist blow to the back of the neck and head, causing Ryven to crumple to the mat.  Azteca immediately makes a B line for the closest corner, tagging it and then moves horizontally, trying to drag Ryven with her as she touches the second corner.  She then turns and comes down the ring vertically but Ryven starts to get to his feet, holding his head and wiping the blood from his nose, he then grips the rope, wrapping it around his arm, choking up and tugs, pulling Azteca close to him.  Azteca runs at Ryven and throws a punch aimed at his throat but Ryven catches the arm, hooks and twists the wrist and turns, driving Azteca into the mat face first as he locks the arm at the elbow and begins pulling the arm back towards it's own elbow, causing Azteca to cry out in pain as she tries to twist and turn her body, looking for a way to escape the painful hold, finally managing to get her feet under her and push against Ryven's back, forcing him to ease the pressure he puts on her arm a bit and Ryven finally breaks the hold, getting back to his feet and turning to face Valora.]

Jack Gene - Holy Crap!  Azteca just beat Ryven at his own game!  Those are popular Krav Maga moves!  Ryven is showing he isn't done yet, but that flurry by Azteca clearly surprised him with her knowledge of Krav Maga there.

Bill Hughes - I don't know why Ryven or you would be surprised, we know that Valora was a member of the Federal Police here in Mexico, they have paramilitary units, it makes sense that Valora would know hidden tricks like this.

[Azteca rushes in and throws a flurry of quick, sharp punches but Ryven initiates the same Krav Maga 360 defense that Azteca used moments ago and blocks her attacks before Azteca goes low with a kick to the groin, doubling Ryven over just as she throws a lightning fast uppercut that sends Ryven staggering backwards.  Azteca rushes in and jumps onto his shoulders, going for a hurrancanrana, but Ryven counters it, slamming Azteca to the mat with a forceful powerbomb.  Ryven pulls Azteca to her feet and whips her into the ropes, catching her as she hits the ropes with a massive clothesline that sends Azteca tumbling over the ropes, only to be suspended in mid air by the rope that binds her to Ryven.  Ryven braces his feet and holds Azteca there.  Before running a few steps and drop kicking Azteca in the back, sending her to the concrete floor hard.  Ryven backs up and makes a 'come on' motion and Azteca slowly gets to her feet, narrowing her eyes as she climbs up into the ring and slides under the ropes, getting to her feet and runs forward, her and Ryven trading punches once more but Ryven gets the edge this time and drives Valora back into a corner, hammering her with punches before catching Azteca with a punch to the throat and lifts her up, setting her on the turnbuckle as he climbs up and grabs hold of her lifting her into the air and taking her to the mat hard with a superplex, Ryven rolls over and goes right into the cover, but Luna Pier reminds him he has yet to touch the turnbuckles and thus is not yet eligible for a pinfall.  Ryven gets up and shakes his head in frustration.]

Jack Gene - Well Ryven's showing he's not out of this fight yet, but after the long tag team match, you have to wonder how much these two have left in the tank.  Both are showing signs of the last match and this match taking their toll on them so far.

Bill Hughes - Well, we've seen Valora's endurance before.  She can take a beating, that's for sure.  Ryven, on the other hand, has to be hurting.  I really doubt he has the guts to continue this match much longer.

[In the ring, Ryven pulls Valora to her feet, but Azteca counters with a low blow, before jumping to her feet and trying for the trouble in paradise kick but Ryven rolls through the kick, avoiding it.  As he turns to face Azteca, he throws a punch but Azteca ducks under it and pulls the rope tight, catching Ryven's legs and tripping him, sending him to the mat, immediately jumping onto his back and nailing him with alternating left and right punches to the head and face before Ryven throws his head back, catching Azteca with a headbutt, hitting her again and then standing up, leaning forward, putting Azteca into a fireman's carry position, before tossing her off of his shoulders and taking her to the mat with a TKO.  Ryven starts to go for the cover, but stops himself short and gets to his feet, moving and touching the first corner, then the second, and wraps the rope around his hand, dragging Azteca behind him as he moves to the third turnbuckle and touches that one as well and then drags Azteca behind him as he touches the fourth and final turnbuckle.]

Wayne Inkster - Ryven has touched all four turnbuckles and is now eligible to win by pinfall or submission!  ( announcement is repeated in Spanish.  Crowd boos heavily.)

Jack Gene - Ryven in control of the match after that exchange!  Azteca is fighting with everything she's got but you can tell her gas tank is nearly on empty here and Ryven has now touched all four turnbuckles and can now win the match while Valora still has to reach two turnbuckles before she can win the match!

Bill Hughes - No Damn it, No!  Ryven can't win!  Not again!!

[Ryven dives on top of Azteca and goes for the pinfall.  Luna Pier drops down and makes the count 1.....2...3no!  Azteca kicks out at the last split second, causing Ryven to pound the mat in frustration.]

Ryven - Stay down damn it!

Jack Gene - Ryven is getting unusually frustrated in this match, he's fought opponents that are tough to beat before, but Azteca seems to be especially under his skin at the moment.

Bill Hughes - I'm going to guess that's because the last time they fought before tonight, she carved a 'V' in his back and tried to slit his throat with a box cutter.  Then earlier tonight, they beat the hell out of each other... That might lead to just a tad bit of animosity, I would think.

[Azteca gets to a knee, and pauses, sweat dripping from her body as she breathes heavily, obviously in pain and exhausted. Ryven charges forward and Azteca takes him down with a drop toe hold and jumps from that right into an STF, which Ryven rolls out of before Valora can fully lock in.  Ryven gets to his feet and dropkicks Valora in the face as she tries to get up.  Ryven stalks around Azteca and pulls her to her feet, measuring her before leveling her with another punch, sending her back to the mat.  Ryven walks over to Valora and pulls her to her feet but Azteca punches him in the gut, breaking up his motion for a split second and Azteca then responds with her Elbow slash, hitting Ryven with a vicious elbow strike, then a fraction of a second later, bringing the same elbow back and hitting Ryven on the other side of his face and head, sending Ryven staggering backwards, the blood flow from his nose increasing as Azteca then grabs him by the arm and runs to the turnbuckle, jumpng up and flipping over, almost in a moonsault style move but turns Ryven as she comes down and hooks the head taking him to the mat with a DDT bringing a loud cheer from the crowd.]

Jack Gene - Wow!  What a move by Azteca!  First hitting Ryven with that simply vicious elbow strike she first used against Father Nathan and then she hit that amazing flipping DDT from the top rope but with every big move she throws, her fatigue is becoming more and more evident.  You really have to ask yourself how much she has left in the tank.

Bill Hughes - Don't worry, Valora find a way to win.  She always does.

[Azteca passes up on the chance to follow up the attack and moves to the third turnbuckle and touches it before moving towards the fourth corner and reaching out to try and touch before being tugged back by Ryven as he gets to his feet and then comes up before grabbing Azteca in the back of her head, his hand slipping trying to find a grip but does eventually and he moves Azteca forward and slams her head into the turnbuckle once and then a second time before pulling her back and lifting her into the air and taking her to the mat with a back suplex.]

Wayne Inkster - Azteca has touched all four turnbuckles and is now eligible to win via pinfall or submission!

Jack Gene - What?!  Ryven slamming her face first into the turnbuckle.. well, the rules say she has to touch them... I guess the how she touches it doesn't matter.

Bill Hughes - Haha!  That idiot Ryven just gave Valora the opening she needed to win the match!

[Ryven pulls Azteca to her feet and hooks her, lifting her up to go for a vertical suplex and starts spinning around, but Azteca shifts her weight and slips behind him, landing on his feet.  Ryven turns and Azteca measures him, hitting him with a series of three knife edge chops that echo throughout the stadium. Azteca then rushes towards the corner and jumps onto it, trying for an Aztec moonsault but Ryven tugs the rope again, causing Azteca to slip and fall face first onto the mat.  Ryven wastes no time and takes a mounted position on Azteca's back and pulls her head up with his right hand, slamming his left fist into her face, repeating the move two more times before slamming her face first into the mat and getting back to his feet, measuring Azteca as she lays there on the mat, totally spent.  Ryven pulls Valora to her feet and whips her into the ropes, catching her as she comes off the ropes and taking her to the mat hard with a beautiful T-bone suplex.  Ryven pauses a moment as loud boos rain down from the crowd and a 'Azteca' chant starts.  Ryven then walks over and pulls Azteca to her feet and measures her before throttling her with left hand punches sending Azteca staggering backwards as she drops to a knee.  Ryven grabs her and whips her hard into the ropes, catching her on the return and taking her down hard with a tilt a whirl backbreaker, keeping the hold on on and bending her back across his knee as he slams his free elbow into her exposed rib cage three times before finally lifting her and depositing her onto the mat with a scoop slam like maneuver.]

Jack Gene - Azteca is really in trouble now.  She appears to be totally out of gas and unable to defend herself and Ryven is just manhandling her.  If this keeps up, Luna Pier is going to have to stop the match.

Bill Hughes - Damn it!  This never would have happened if Valora weren't too busy kissing up to the locals!  We need Valora the ass kicker!!

[Ryven smirks as he walks over to Azteca and drags her to her feet, but Valora counters by taking the point of her elbow and shoving it into Ryven's chest, following it up with two more blows and an uppercut to the jaw as she turns to face him.  She then grabs Ryven by the head and runs to the corner, running along it and the ropes before she jumps off, turning around in mid air so that she and Ryven are facing towards the middle of the ring as she brings him down into a cutter like move, bringing a loud cheer from the crowd, even as both her and Ryven lay on the mat not moving.  The humidity in the air is evident as a a hazy mist, which has been present all match, becomes even more noticeable now as both Azteca and Ryven crawl to the ropes and use the ropes to pull themselves to their feet, both leaning against the ropes heavily. Ryven pulls himself to his feet and wipes the blood and sweat from his face, raising his hands as Azteca advances towards him.  The two trade punches, Azteca getting the better of the exchange as she pelts his face and body with a flurry of punches but Ryven throws a punch, hitting Azteca in the throat again, stopping her attack as she drops to a knee before Ryven grabs Azteca and lifts her up, spinning around and throwing her to the ground with the Awakening.  He goes right into the cover and Luna Pier makes the count but at the last second, Azteca raises her foot and puts it on the ropes, causing Luna Pier to stop counting.  Ryven looks at the positioning in the ring and grits his teeth, dragging Azteca into the middle of the ring and lays her there before bending over her and slapping her in the face.

Ryven - You want a war!?  You want more?!

[Ryven goes and grabs Azteca's arm, preparing to lock in the Triangle Choke, but Azteca rolls Ryven up with an inside cradle.  Luna Pier counts but gets to a 2 and a half count before Ryven kicks out.  Another 'Azteca' chant rises from the crowd as Ryven pulls her to her feet but Azteca counters with a right hand left hand, right hand punch combo to the gut before jumping to her feet and throwing another uppercut that nails Ryven, dazing him for a moment before Azteca jumps into the air, and spins, hitting him with Trouble in Paradise, which brings a huge roar from the crowd as Azteca then runs to the turnbuckle, climbing up quickly and leaping off, getting higher then usual and as she comes out of the first corkscrew turn, she changes her move into a Frog Splash like move, landing hard on top of Ryven and going for the cover.  Luna Pier drops down and the crowd counts with her as her hand hits the mat "UNO! DOS!  TRES!!"  Luna Pier calls for the bell and the crowd goes nuts, exploding into thunderous cheers that once again have the stadium appear as if it is literally shaking.]

Jack Gene - She did it!  Azteca climbs the mountain top and is the new Ace Superior Champion!  She did it!  I can't believe it but she found just enough gas in the tank to win the match!

Bill Hughes - YES!!  Finally we don't have that ass Ryven as a champion anymore! I'm so Happy!!

Wayne Inkster - Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner, by pinfall and the new WMW Ace Superior Champion AZTECA!!!!

[Wayne Inkster hands Valora the Ace Superior title and she hugs it close to her chest, resting her head against it, sweat dripping from every pore on her body as WMW medical staff runs down to the ring, carrying bottles of water, helping Valora out of the ring, giving her water and bringing water for Ryven as well, who is getting to his feet.  Valora drinks a bottle of water quickly, before tossing it aside and entering the ring one more time, touching Ryven on the shoulder.  Ryven turns to her and their eyes meet for a second before Valora nods in respect and pats her newly won ASC title.  Ryven nods as well, his gaze moving briefly to the title and saying something inaudible before turning back to drink from his own bottle of water, grabbing a towel from the medical trainer to wipe the sweat off his own forehead.]

Jack Gene - And a show of sportsmanship from Valora there, as she seemed to appreciate the hard fight.  We know Valora loves challenges and Ryven damn sure presented her toughest challenge in WMW so far.  I'm not sure we've seen the last of these two in the squared circle but on tonight... Valora was up to the task and she is the new Ace Superior Champion, Which is a great rebound from that disappointing Tag Team title loss that Valora suffered earlier in the evening.  She had a chance at two titles tonight and won the bigger title, the ASC.  But Valora certainly has nothing to be ashamed of tonight, nor does Ryven who gave Valora the match of her life and who will return to the States as one half of the WMW Tag Team Champions.

El Dia '09 Buildup: Great Lakes Championship

AWS Man (c) vs Kronin

Written by: AWS Man

Jack Gene – And now it all comes down to this: AWS Man (also known as Bill) vs. Kronin, an I Quit match for the Great Lakes Championship. This should be epic, Bill.

Bill Hughes – No doubt, although the winner is inevitable. AWS Man has Kronin’s number. The stoner won’t be winning the GLC tonight, or any night.

Jack Gene – First, just because Kronin rocks doesn’t mean he’s a stoner. And I beg to differ that AWS Man has his number. Kronin pinned him in a tag match a few weeks back, and now he gets to face the Insane One in a match he hand-picked. One thing that’s for sure, neither man is walking out of here without leaving everything they have behind.

[Wayne Inkster enters the ring with a microphone.]

Wayne Inkster – The following contest is an I Quit match, for the Great Lakes Championship! The match can only be won by making your opponent utter the words “I Quit!”

[Fans pop.]

Wayne Inkster – Introducing first, the challenger… He weighs in at 270 pounds, and hails from Chicago, Illinois… He is one half of the Midwest Tag League champions… He is KRRROOOONNNIIIINNNN!

['Freya' by the Sword plays over the PA and a blast of pyro goes off, and the crowd erupts into cheers as Kronin rise from the middle of the entryway. Lilly wears the armor of a Valkyrie and Kronin is on a knee in front of her, staring at the floor. Lilly stands up and places a hand on Kronin's shoulder and points towards the ring. Kronin stands and hops up into the air, driving his fist into the ground as a huge explosion of pyro goes off behind him and he makes his way down to the ring, looking around the arena as he makes his way to the ring.]

Jack Gene – This is the second time we’ve seen Kronin tonight, as he already defended his tag team titles along with Ryven, after AWS Man not surprisingly backed out of the match.

Bill Hughes – Why should he have busted his butt so that Kronin could keep his title? AWS Man’s held the tag titles so long, he’s bored with them.

Jack Gene – Perhaps … and maybe he just wanted to be fresher than Kronin for this match. That tag match was a war. After that, there’s no way Kronin will be at 100% like AWS Man will be.

Bill Hughes – That sounds like a personal problem.

[Kronin climbs into the ring and jumps up onto the ring apron. He paces back and forth on the apron before hopping over the ropes and raising his fist in the air and catches his guitar from Lilly playing along with his entrance song.]

Wayne Inkster –
And his opponent… He weighs 236 pounds and hails from Freakville, North Carolina… He is the reigning Great Lakes champion… He is AWS MAN (ALSO KNOWN AS BIIIILLLL)!

[“Three Point One Four” by the Bloodhound Gang plays and the crowd gives the Insane One a healthy dose of boos as he steps out onto the stage. AWS Man (also known as Bill) has his GLC title buckled around his waist and Pen in his right hand, as he stands surveying the crowd for a moment before nodding his head and strutting down the rampway.]

Jack Gene – This crowd may hate AWS Man even more than the Cleveland fans do. Not only did he interrupt a cockfight earlier this week, but according to Valora, the fact that he wears a mask when he’s not a luchador is an insult to them.

Bill Hughes – Does it look like he cares? AWS Man is the picture of confidence. He knows that this is the last time he’ll ever have to defend his belt against Kronin. Who knows, after this humiliating defeat, Kronin may not even show his face in WMW again.

Jack Gene – Geez, Bill, the match hasn’t even started yet. How about letting it at least get going before you start bragging about the outcome?

Bill Hughes – Fine, have it your way. But that just seems like a technicality to me.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) takes his time stepping into the ring and removing his title. He pats it affectionately as he hands it over to referee John Law. He then turns as if to deposit Pen in a corner of the ring, but instead just moves the spatula out of sight of the referee. Law motions for the bell to ring, and the Insane One immediately charges Kronin and swings for his head with Pen. Kronin easily ducks, boots AWS Man (also known as Bill) in the gut, and tries for Death by Metal (Canadian Destroyer). But the Insane One pushes Kronin away and scrambles backwards, rolling out of the ring to catch his breath.]

Jack Gene – Whoa! Kronin comes a hair away from hitting Death by Metal, which could have ended this match mere seconds in!

Bill Hughes – Not necessarily. AWS Man’s personally told me that the move doesn’t even hurt that much. It basically just makes you dizzy because of all the unnecessary flipping, but would it make him say he quits? Not a chance.

Jack Gene – And you just believe everything AWS Man tells you, huh?

Bill Hughes – Sure, he seems like a pretty trustworthy guy.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) paces around ringside, trading some jibba-jabba with the ringside fans. While the Insane One is distracted in this way, Kronin runs up to the ring ropes and slings himself over with a plancha, taking out both himself and the GLC.]

Jack Gene – Holy crap, Kronin flies with a plancha! We’ve never seen anything like that from the six and a half footer!

Bill Hughes – He did say he was going to bust out some new moves for this match, but I didn’t expect anything like that. I thought he’d just bust out a fancy hiptoss or something.

[Kronin picks himself back up, basking in the cheers of the crowd. Lilly claps her hands and cheers from her seat at ringside. He waits for AWS Man (also known as Bill) to get up, then mows him down with a clothesline. The Insane One pops back up, and Kronin boots him in the gut, then plants him on the outside floor with a double arm DDT.]

Jack Gene – This match has been entirely Kronin so far. I don’t care how determined not to quit he is, AWS Man needs to mount some offense soon or he’s not going to have a chance in this match.

Bill Hughes – Relax, this is all part of his master plan … I think. Why else would he be letting Kronin beat him up like this?

Jack Gene – I don’t think there’s a lot of “letting” going on here.

[Kronin heads over to the timekeeper and motions for him to get up, allowing Kronin to seize his folding chair. He waits on AWS Man (also known as Bill) to struggle back up, then hurls the chair at him from a good ten feet away, smacking it off the Insane One’s paintball mask and laying him back out.]

Bill Hughes – Hey! Kronin’s just hurling chairs like a madman out here! He must’ve drunk some of that Mexican water backstage and gone crazy!

Jack Gene – He’s not crazy, Bill… Well, maybe a little. He definitely has a bit of a wild gleam in his eyes, but that’s only because AWS Man put it there. Kronin is intent on fulfilling all the promises he made for this match, starting with putting the GLC through a world of pain.

[No longer paying attention to the cheers of the crowd, Kronin stalks towards AWS Man (also known as Bill) and pulls him up by his hair. He applies a Piper sleeperhold, causing the Insane One to immediately start bucking and writhing around. But the more his opponent struggles, the more Kronin tightens the hold. John Law approaches with his microphone, holding it up to the champion to see if he quits. Kronin can be heard talking to AWS Man (also known as Bill) through gritted teeth.]

Kronin – C’mon, you crazy asshole… This isn’t going to let up until you admit I’m better.

Jack Gene – This match is only a few minutes in, but already Kronin appears to be on the verge of victory.

Bill Hughes – Yeah, but with the way that he’s squeezing AWS Man’s windpipe, I don’t know if the champ can quit even if he wants to … which I’m not saying he does. He probably enjoys this.

Jack Gene – Give it a rest, Bill. AWS Man’s getting his ass kicked.

Bill Hughes – …Yes. Yes, he is.

[The Insane One motions for Law to bring the mic closer.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – OK… OK, I … freakin’ … give … PSYCH!

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) suddenly reaches out and grabs the microphone, bringing it up and backwards into Kronin’s forehead. Temporarily stunned, Kronin releases his grip enough for the Insane One to slip out and drop to his knees. He grabs the fallen chair and sticks it between Kronin’s legs, then sharply brings it up, eliciting gasps of empathy from the entire male audience.]

Jack Gene – Boy howdy! Kronin’s going to feel that for a while.

Bill Hughes – “Boy howdy”? Are you kidding me?

Jack Gene – What? It’s a fairly common figure of speech.

Bill Hughes – (Muttering) Maybe for country bumpkins in the 60’s.

[Before Kronin collapses in pain, AWS Man (also known as Bill) grabs his arm and whips him headfirst into the nearby ring post, where Kronin’s head makes a sickening noise upon impact.]

Bill Hughes – Aw, man, that sounded like the pumpkins in my neighborhood getting smashed on Halloween.

Jack Gene –
Oh, did your neighborhood have a problem with young hooligans doing that too?

Bill Hughes – Uh … yeah, it was hooligans. Sure. I could hear it from my, um, house, I guess. Because it wasn’t me doing it. I think we’ve established that now, in case the cops ask.

Jack Gene – Um … right.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) slowly makes his way over to Kronin, who’s now busted open. Upon noticing the blood, the Insane One dips his fingers in it, then rubs them into Kronin’s eyes, causing the challenger to cry out in pain and clutch at them.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – Do you give up freakin’ yet? Huh, Krabapple? Or are you so mad you’re “seeing red”? Freakin’ get it?!

Bill Hughes – Heh heh, “seeing red.” Because he’s rubbing Kronin’s own blood in his eyes. That was classic.

Jack Gene – Bill, not only is that deplorable, it’s unhygienic!

[Kronin continues to refuse to give up, causing AWS Man (also known as Bill) to get frustrated and hit him with the microphone again. Law warns the Insane One about taking his microphone, causing the GLC to shrug and toss the microphone into the crowd.]

Jack Gene – Now he’s just being a jerk.

Bill Hughes – Ha, yeah. Gotta love it.

[John Law scowls and goes to fetch another microphone, while AWS Man (also known as Bill) lifts Kronin up and leads him over towards the announce table. He rams Kronin’s head off the tabletop once, then again, and a third time for good measure.]

Jack Gene – Hey, he’s getting blood all over my documents!

Bill Hughes – Jack, do you ever hear yourself talk and want to kick your own ass?

Jack Gene – Well … sometimes, but not so much since I started therapy.

[The Insane One looks over and grabs one of Jack’s papers. Holding Kronin’s right hand down, he begins giving Kronin a papercut between his thumb and forefinger.]

Bill Hughes – Ewwww, nasty! Oh man, I can’t even watch!

Jack Gene – Oh, now this is just bordering on torture! It’s barbaric!

[Kronin naturally screams in pain, cause papercuts hurt like a bitch, man. John Law is back with a new microphone, and holds it up to Kronin.]

John Law – What do you say, Kronin? Want to give it up?

[Kronin grits his teeth and shakes his head.]

Kronin – Never… I’m gonna fucking kill you.

Bill Hughes – Hey, he can’t say that word if I can’t!

Jack Gene – It’s PPV, so technically, he can.

Bill Hughes – Oh. Then I guess that means I fucking can, too!

[Kronin reaches up with his free hand and now bangs AWS Man (also known as Bill)’s head off the table. The Insane One stumbles away, allowing Kronin to grab him and perform a Tazzplex, sending the champ bouncing off the tabletop and onto Bill Hughes.]

Jack Gene –
My God! Kronin just took out both AWS Man and my broadcast colleague in one swoop, giving my ears a much-needed rest!

[Kronin staggers around the desk and hauls the Insane One up, then nails him with a punch that knocks AWS Man (also known as Bill) back onto the table. Kronin climbs up as well, and pulls his opponent up into a standing headscissors position. He takes a moment to wipe the blood out of his eyes and signals to the crowd, who respond with thunderous cheers.]

Jack Gene – And now Kronin’s setting AWS Man up for Death by Metal, through our announce table! Oh great, Bill’s getting back up.

Bill Hughes – (Groggily) Hey, what’d I miss- NO, DON’T DO IT!

[Kronin starts to perform the move, but as he does AWS Man (also known as Bill) swiftly stands up, giving Kronin too much momentum and sending him flying off the table in an elevated back body drop. Kronin lands hard on the unprotected floor, immediately crying out in pain and clutching at his back. The Insane One glances over his shoulder at Kronin, measures him, then flies backwards with a moonsault from the table onto Kronin’s body.]

Bill Hughes – Nice!

Jack Gene – Kronin’s blood loss, coupled with the exhaustion from his previous match tonight, seem to be taking their toll on him now. That Death by Metal took much too long to execute.

Bill Hughes –
Valora warned him that if he tried to fight AWS Man at less than 100%, he would lose. But Kronin, in his greed and arrogance, just haaaad to have two titles.

Jack Gene – AWS Man has held two titles most of the year.

Bill Hughes – Yeah, but he deserved them.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) stands up, somewhat holding his ribs. He lifts up Kronin as well and drags him over to the ring, rolling him in beneath the ropes. The Insane One then lifts up the ring apron and starts searching underneath it.]

Jack Gene – It looks like this match is finally heading back into the ring, which we haven’t seen since the very opening moments. But first, AWS Man’s getting something from beneath it.

Bill Hughes – I hope it’s a flamethrower. Wouldn’t that be awesome

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) finally finds what he’s looking for, and draws out a glass jar with some tiny red dots in it.]

Jack Gene – The hell?

[As the Insane One pushes the jar into the ring, the camera can make out the label on the side: “Fire Ants.”]

Jack Gene – Did that just say what I thought it did?!

Bill Hughes – Yep! AWS Man’s busted out some fucking fire ants, fucker!

Jack Gene – Bill, just because you can curse without getting censored doesn’t mean it’s professional to do so.

Bill Hughes – It is when there’s mother fucking fire ants involved!

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) slides in as well, then runs and delivers a dropkick to the face of Kronin as he was trying to sit up. The Insane One grabs the jar with one hand and pulls Kronin’s head up with the other, sticking the jar in his face.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – Freakin’ see these, bitch? Give up now, or they’re going down your freakin’ pants!

Jack Gene – Good Lord! He can’t be serious!

Bill Hughes – He wouldn’t joke about that. Fire ants in wrestling are serious business.

[Kronin, his face a bloody mask, weakly shakes his head no. AWS Man (also known as Bill) shrugs and starts to unscrew the lid of the jar. Just as he gets it off, Kronin suddenly lunges up and grabs it out of the GLC’s hands, then brings the jar down on top of the Insane One’s head, shattering it.]

Bill Hughes – GAHHHH!

Jack Gene – Kronin just broke the jar over AWS Man’s head! Fire ants have spilled down on top of him, and I think some have gotten in his clothes!

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) rolls around on the mat, slapping at himself and crying out in pain. Kronin stomps around on the mat, squashing the ants that were making their way towards him.]

Bill Hughes – Oh man, between that and the chickens AWS Man beat up earlier this week, PETA’s going to be all over us

Jack Gene – All thanks to the Great Lakes champion. Joy.

[The Insane One appears to have killed the ants that got in his costume, as he lays on the mat barely conscious, holding the back of his head. Kronin takes the opportunity to stumble over and lock on a camel clutch.]

Jack Gene – Camel clutch! Simple but effective.

Bill Hughes – But will it be enough to make AWS Man give up? Ain’t gonna happen, in my opinionation.

[The hold seems to have woken AWS Man back up, as he begins bucking around and screaming again. John Law squats down with a microphone, holding it near the Insane One’s mask.]

John Law – C’mon, AWS, what do you say?

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – I say … that Kremlin … can freakin’ bite me!

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) reaches his arms up and begins to dig his fingers into the wound in Kronin’s forehead. Kronin grimaces, but refuses to let go of the hold. Both men stay in that position, inflicting pain on each other, for several long moments until Kronin finally collapses off of the Insane One.]

Jack Gene – Kronin really doesn’t look so good. I wish we could get some officials down here to stitch him up, but there’s no way AWS Man would allow that.

Bill Hughes – And nor should he! It wasn’t an accident that he busted Kronin open in the early going of this match. Kronin was like a madman, and AWS had to bleed some of the crazy out of him. It’s worked, too.

[After taking a few moments to catch his breath, AWS Man (also known as Bill) pulls Kronin up and whips him into the corner. Kronin hits it and tried to rebound out with a clothesline, but the Insane One evades it with a low dropkick, taking Kronin’s left leg out from under him. Not getting up from the mat, AWS Man (also known as Bill) grabs the leg and rolls out of the ring, then slams Kronin’s leg into the steel ringpost.]

Jack Gene – Oh! Apparently AWS Man’s decided to start targeting Kronin’s leg, and I’m afraid that with the blood Kronin’s already lost and the grueling match he was already in earlier tonight, this is a very smart strategy for the champion.

Bill Hughes – Yep, this is the beginning of the end for Cherry Garcia over there.

Jack Gene – Bill … please leave the stupid nicknames to AWS Man.

Bill Hughes – That one was pretty good, I thought…

[With Kronin still writhing in pain, the Insane One goes over to the ring steps and dislodges the top section. He hefts them up to his shoulder and backs up.]

Jack Gene – No, don’t do this! He could break Kronin’s leg!

Bill Hughes – So we can show that, but you’re going to get on my case for dropping the F-bomb?

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) charges, slamming the steps into Kronin’s leg and sandwiching it up against the post. Kronin’s screams intensify as he rolls away and clutches at his possibly fractured leg. Lilly covers here mouth and looks on worriedly from her seat.]

Bill Hughes – YES! That one’s going in the highlight reel.

Jack Gene – You and AWS Man are both sick, Bill! Sick! We’re talking about the possible end of a man’s profession here! Kronin may never be able to wrestle again!

Bill Hughes – Would you really miss him?

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) takes a moment to bask in the crowd’s boos on the outside of the ring. He cockily rolls into the ring and strolls over to Law, telling him to ask Kronin if he quits. The referee lowers the mic to Kronin’s face, but he shakes his head no. The Insane One rolls his eyes and raises his arms in disbelief.]

Bill Hughes – Kronin is a damn fool. He’s going to end up crippled by the end of this match, and he’ll only have himself to blame.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) shakes his head as Kronin begins using the ropes to drag himself up. The GLC backs up a few steps and gets into a ready position. When Kronin finally makes it up, the Insane One hops forward for the Knock Your Freakin’ Head Off thrust kick, but Kronin ducks at the last second and pulls AWS Man (also known as Bill) into a jawbreaker. The GLC stumbles back a few steps but doesn’t go down. Kronin again pulls himself up with effort, but by the time he does so his opponent is already recovered, and this time he does walk into a Knock Your Freakin’ Head Off.]

Bill Hughes – Boom! Kronin avoids it the first time, but isn’t so lucky the second.

Jack Gene – Kronin hasn’t been “lucky” all night, but it’s his heart that’s keeping him in this against a much fresher opponent.

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) plops down on Kronin’s chest and begins administering a very lackadaisical Slap the Freak Around, just hitting Kronin with fairly light, insulting slaps.]

Jack Gene – OK, now, this is just taking it too far. We know AWS Man has Kronin where he wants him, but now he’s just toying with him.

Bill Hughes – He’s teaching him a lesson, Jack. One that applies to the entire locker room. If you mess with the bull, you get the horns. Or in this case, you mess with the champ, you get the spatula. Something like that.

[With Kronin trapped in the hold, AWS Man (also known as Bill) demands Law ask him if he quits. Kronin simply shakes his head and mouths the word ‘No.’ Pounding the mat in frustration, the Insane One gets up and, looking to the crowd, holds his right hand up flat.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – Now he’s gonna freakin’ get it!

Jack Gene – Oh no…

Bill Hughes – Oh yes! AWS Man warned Kronin this move would be legal! It’s the Buzz Freakin’ Saw!

[AWS Man (also known as Bill) sticks his hand between Kronin’s legs and, true to the name of the move, begins making a rapid sawing motion. Kronin squirms in agony across the ring.]

Bill Hughes – Where’s he going? There’s no rope break in this match, and no escape from this move! Kronin needs to swallow his pride and say he quits, or get his junk sawed off!

Jack Gene – That … just isn’t right, no matter how many times I see it.

[Law still hovers around Kronin with the microphone, but Kronin grits his teeth and refuses to answer. He finally makes it to the corner of the ring he was crawling towards, and closes his fingers around Pen, where AWS Man (also known as Bill) dropped him at the beginning of the match. Kronin lashes out and smacks the Insane One in the side of the head with the spatula, knocking the champ to the mat.]

Jack Gene – Kronin uses Pen against his own master! AWS Man never saw it coming!

Bill Hughes – Pen, how could you?! You just inanimately bitchsmacked the hand that feeds you!

[Kronin and AWS Man (also known as Bill) are both slow to get up, as the crowd stomps their feet. The Insane One lunges forward first, but Kronin ducks and lifts him onto his shoulders in a fireman’s carry. Kronin’s leg wobbles, but he follows through with a death valley driver nonetheless.]

Jack Gene – DVD by Kronin! He’s starting to get back into this thing!

Bill Hughes – I can’t believe he didn’t quit in the Buzz Freakin’ Saw. He must be wearing a cup.

Jack Gene – Doubtful, with the pain he was in. But even if he is, that’d be perfectly legal.

Bill Hughes – I can still call shenanigans!

[Kronin is up slightly first this time. He knees AWS Man (also known as Bill) in the gut and pulls him into a front chancery. Signaling to the crowd, he lifts the Insane One into the air with a suplex and holds him for a moment.]

Jack Gene – I think Kronin’s going for the Metal Meltdown, his version of the Hellevator… But no, it looks like his bad leg couldn’t support AWS Man’s weight!

[The GLC drops back onto his feet and scoops Kronin up over one shoulder for the Drop You On Your Freakin’ Face. But Kronin shifts his weight so he slides out of it, landing behind the Insane One. Kronin winces upon landing on his bad leg, but when AWS Man (also known as Bill) turns around Kronin strikes him with a left jab. He follows up with another, then a third, then does a little dance and tries for a big right hand. The champ ducks it, and before Kronin can turn around again, lifts him in a reverse fireman’s carry to nail him with the Break Your Freakin’ Neck (Burning Hammer).]

Jack Gene – Man! What a series of counters! But in the end, AWS Man regains the advantage!

Bill Hughes – Kronin’s such an idiot, always taking time out to pander to the crowd. That’s what cost him his Ace Superior title to Scott Vyper, and it may have just cost him this match with that stupid dance he does. Uh, not that he ever had a chance to win anyway.

[Struggling up, AWS Man (also known as Bill) walks over to a corner and climbs up to the top rope. He takes a moment to look around at the booing crowd and wave to them, before leaping off with the Win the Freakin’ Matchifier (shooting star press), crashing down on Kronin’s chest.]

Bill Hughes – It’s over! Nobody gets up from that!

Jack Gene – That does generally signal the end of a match, but I don’t know in this case…

[The Insane One stays on top of Kronin for several moments as if for a cover, before realizing his mistake. He sits back on his knees and gestures for Law to let Kronin quit. Law brings the microphone down again, but Kronin just groans out a “No.” AWS Man (also known as Bill) runs his fingers through his hair and begins yelling at Kronin.]

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – What the freak are you talking about?! I hit the Win the Freakin’ Matchifier! So that means it’s time for me to win the freakin’ match! Stop cheating!

Bill Hughes – He makes a valid point.

Jack Gene – No, he doesn’t! Just because you name your finisher that doesn’t mean you automatically get to win whenever you hit it. Kronin’s still got enough fight in him that he thinks he can go on, apparently.

[The GLC staggers back over to the corner again, and climbs back up to the top rope. Taking a bit longer this time, he stands and flies onto Kronin with another shooting star press. Kronin clutches his ribs and rolls around on the mat, coughing in pain.]

Bill Hughes – There! He hit another one! It’s got to be over!

Jack Gene – Things definitely aren’t looking good for Kronin here. For his own sake, he needs to think about living to fight another day. Nobody can take anything away from the effort he put in tonight, but he was just never on a fair playing field after his tag title match. And Kronin’s poor friend and manager Lilly has to watch all this from ringside.

Bill Hughes – Don’t be so naïve, Jack. They’re obviously doing it. It’s his poor girlfriend that has to watch him suffer. That’s much worse.

[Law kneels next to Kronin and tries to get a response.]

John Law – Come on, Kronin, you don’t have to keep doing this. Want to end the match?

[Kronin opens his mouth, but the only sound he makes is more coughing as he shakes his head no.]

Bill Hughes – Does the man have a death wish?! If he’s expecting mercy from AWS Man, he’s looking in the wrong place.

Jack Gene – No, I think Kronin knows full well that AWS Man is not going to stop until he quits. But he’s accepting the punishment for a chance to win this match.

[The Insane One’s eyes bug out as he crawls over to Kronin and grabs him by the hair, repeatedly pounding Kronin’s bloody skull off the mat and screaming incomprehensible gibberish at him. Finally, AWS Man (also known as Bill) crawls back to the corner and once again starts to climb it.]

Jack Gene – My God, AWS Man’s just going to keep doing this until he caves Kronin’s damn chest in! John Law needs to stop this match!

Bill Hughes – He can’t! Law has no authority to stop this match until one of the participants says so! Even I’m starting to feel bad for Kronin, but there’s nothing we can do!

[Ignoring the now nearly deafening boos, AWS Man (also known as Bill) steadies himself on the turnbuckle, then flies off with a third Win the Freakin’ Matchifier onto Kronin’s sternum. Kronin sits bolt upright after this one connects, coughing up what looks to be blood, then slowly sinks back onto the mat, apparently unconscious.]

Jack Gene – God damn it, Kronin is internally bleeding now! I don’t care about the damn rules to the match, somebody needs to end this thing! This is a man’s life at stake!

Bill Hughes – Jack, you’re preaching to the choir, but Kronin is the only one who can end it, and I don’t think he’s even awake anymore.

[Lilly looks on with tears in her eyes as AWS Man (also known as Bill) slowly drags himself up using the ropes. Breathing heavily, he demands for Law to declare him the winner. Law shakes his head no, pointing to Kronin and indicating that he hasn’t quit yet.]

Jack Gene – Well, now I’m not sure what we do. Kronin never quit, but he’s obviously in no shape to continue. We need some medical help out here, now!

Bill Hughes – Law should make an exception and declare AWS Man the winner. The fact that Kronin never quit is just a technicality. He obviously would have if he hadn’t passed out like a wuss first.

[The Insane One seems to agree with Hughes, as he rolls out of the ring and stumbles over to the timekeeper’s table. Holding his own ribs gingerly, AWS Man (also known as Bill) snatches his title and starts to walk up the ramp, while Law tries to yell at him from in the ring that the match isn’t over yet. The GLC ignores him and raises his arms triumphantly, while the arena continues to pour their hate on him.]

Jack Gene – AWS Man’s acting like he’s won, but this match is a draw at best. And where is the damn medical help?! Who knows how badly Kronin is bleeding inside?

Bill Hughes – Yeah, he … he doesn’t look good. Despite my earlier comments, I hope we’re not seeing the end of a career here.

[As AWS Man (also known as Bill) nears the top of the entrance ramp, the audience lets out a big cheer as Kronin starts to stir in the ring. He motions for Law to bring the microphone down to his lips. Law does so with some hesitance. Kronin struggles to speak as blood also drips out of his mouth.]

Kronin – Where … are you … going … you masked … son of … a bitch?

[The Mexican crowd let out a thunderous cheer as the Insane One slowly turns around, eyes wide with shock. They soon narrow to an expression of annoyance, and AWS Man (also known as Bill) jogs back down the ramp.]

Bill Hughes – He really DOES have a death wish! Kronin is going to die in a filthy Mexican arena!

Jack Gene – Bill! Don’t say that or they won’t invite us back…

[In the ring, Kronin fights up to his feet, using John Law for assistance. The GLC slides into the ring and tries to take Kronin’s head off with a blow from the title, but Kronin ducks it. When AWS Man (also known as Bill) turns back around, Kronin kicks him with a low blow, then pulls him down into a headscissors. He uses the Insane One’s body to steady himself for a moment, then hits a Death by Metal, much to the crowd’s approval.]

Jack Gene – DEATH BY METAL! MY GOD! How did Kronin do that?!

Bill Hughes – He must have died and this is one of those after-death reflexes, like a chicken with its head cut off.

Jack Gene – Joke all you want, but Kronin is somehow back in this thing!

Bill Hughes – He’s still got to somehow make AWS Man quit. Good luck with that.

[Both competitors are laid out on the mat for at least thirty seconds, as the crowd cheers Kronin to get up. He finally rolls over and crawls towards his opponent. Reaching his hands behind the Insane One’s head, he starts to undo the clasps holding his paintball mask on, while AWS Man (also known as Bill)’s too weak to fight him off.]

Bill Hughes – What the hell is he doing?! He can’t unmask AWS Man! That’s against the rulese!

Jack Gene –
You said it earlier yourself, Bill! There are no rules. The only way the match will end is if one person-

AWS Man (also known as Bill) – I quit! I freakin’ quit!

Jack Gene – …quits? Did that just happen?

Bill Hughes – No! I mean, yes, but it shouldn’t count! He had to quit to preserve his secret identity!

[“Freya” plays as the arena fills with deafening cheers. Lilly slides into the ring and runs up to Kronin, helping him sit up as he’s handed his new title. Meanwhile, AWS Man (also known as Bill) rolls away and drops out of the ring, holding his paintball mask securely as he staggers back up the ramp.]

Bill Hughes – This is so wrong, in every way.

Jack Gene – No, Bill, this is a great moment in WMW’s history! Despite going in at a disadvantage from the start, despite everything AWS Man put him through, Kronin kept his promise to the fans and never gave in! That is a true champion that now holds the Great Lakes title!

[Kronin is helped to his feet by John Law and Lilly, as he slowly raises his title in the air with tears in his eyes.]

Bill Hughes – Look at him, he’s crying like a little girl. Although he is bleeding internally, so maybe that has something to do with it…

Jack Gene – From Mexico City, goodnight, everyone! See you next week for GS101 as we continue our Southwest tour!

[The scene fades.]
