adam-pyre

Call it ’setting the Freaks free’ if you want, but many in WMW are expecting that Adam Pyre, the King of Freaks, to not stay with the company once his contract runs out in September.

Pyre, who signed a 6-month deal on March 11th, 2009, has grown unhappy with not only his recent bookings, but also the way he’s been held back from capturing a major Championship. He has said to feel like he’s hit a glass ceiling in WMW.

All though no official announcement has been made as of this publication, expect some decision to be made public by the end of next week.

WTF officially stopped production of all future shows for the foreseeable future. It’s possible that they are looking for someone to come in and help rebuild. Neither party was available for comment.

Potential Shakeup in MTL2?

Posted: July 27th, 2009 | Category: Rumors | No Comments »

rumorsAccording to sources, Adam Allocco approached management earlier in the day on the regards of removing Harry Cockles as his tag team partner. Adam Allocco claimed he was carrying the tag team’s work load on his own. Adam Allocco has made the claim after the show saying he won their tag team match all on his own without needing the help of Harry Cockles. Allocco also blames Harry Cockles for their first loss in the Midwest Tag League.

Adam Allocco and Harry Cockles have not been on the same page since the start of the Midwest Tag League 2. Apparently the rift between the two randomly paired partners has been the result of Adam Allocco’s hesitation to work alongside Harry Cockles. Those close to that team started that Alllocco has been anything short of homophobic towards Harry Cockles and have been making romantic advances towards Cockle’s manager, Ophelia, who has romantic ties with Harry Cockle’s.

As of right now there is no official word of any changes in the tag team. It is expected, though, that management will not satisfy Allocco’s request for a new partner. Adam Allocco, however, seems desperate for a partner change. This week is a bye week given by WMW officials to see if this situation can be dismantled peacefully.

Management Disappointed with Alliance?

Posted: July 20th, 2009 | Category: Rumors | No Comments »

rumorsRumors are coming out of Cleveland suggesting that WMW management are disappointed with the AWA and are considering not renewing their contract with the organization once the current deal expires.

Most of the ill feelings apparently started after AWA’s J.C. Barr showed up on live TV without notice and gave management a list of demands and ultimatems.

If you remember, at GS85, Barr came to the show and expressed a need for WMW to raise it’s overall who and talent quality because of the new competition he was bringing in. All though WMW kept it’s end of the deal, which it has proven by leading in all but one Show Ratings reports, it’s becoming apparent that the AWA is faultering.

No one from WMW Headquarters would comment on the story, and it can only be speculated at this time what the true relationship is. But expect something to be said one way or another in the following weeks.

Druscilla Injured?

Posted: July 17th, 2009 | Category: Rumors | No Comments »

druscilla-031309As our fans saw last night at Graveyard Shift, the seemingly invincible Druscilla seemed quite mortal. In the big MTL2 tag match, Valora, at one point ran forward and nailed Druscilla with a punch, knocking her off the ring apron. She seemed to land awkwardly, which had her favoring her leg heavily, keeping Druscilla out of the match while Valora picked up the win for her team. After the match both Amariie and Hecate were seen helping Druscilla backstage.

WMW Medical staff have confirmed that Druscilla did indeed visit them and that her leg was injured, but they as of yet have not confirmed how badly hurt, leading to some speculation that Druscilla could be sidelined for a bit while she waits for her leg to heal. If it is a serious injury, this could sideline not only her, but it could also eliminate Amariie and Druscilla from the MTL 2 tournament… More as the story develops.

Bundy and Williams Brawl Backstage

Posted: July 16th, 2009 | Category: Rumors | No Comments »

rumorsThere are reports coming out of WMW Arena that a few fans witnessed a backstage fight between Bradley Williams and John Bundy.

It is being rumored that after watching Sterling and Austin lose at the hands of Umbrage and Evers at GS88, Bradley was so irate, that he destroyed part of the locker room and got into a fist fight with John Bundy.

Bradley was escorted out of the arena by security, which is where fans saw him.

All though no one has commented on the situation officially, it is being said that Williams is in thin ice at this point, due to the fact that he’s still on under a developmental contract, and that he was said to be the antagonist in the backstage brawl.

Bundy was also sent home.
